"2JZ Subaru Killer" - 850HP Subaru STI on 42psi of BOOST!

On this episode we feature Don's 850+WHP(1000 Engine HP) Subaru STI built by Machines Gone Wild in Miami, FL (@mgw305). This Subaru build features Manley Performance pistons and rods assembled in house by MGW. We recently featured a badass 2JZ swapped Subaru on the channel that got a lot of attention, however this Subaru stays true to its original roots running the EJ25 engine. This car is an absolute beast, it is definitely one of the cleanest and fastest street Subaru's we've had the pleasure of filming. Enjoy the video!

Caas Monk AWD bounces power around to wheels that are losing traction. More likely to spin that way. Locked 4WD system in a truck is all 4 getting 25% power each, equal power means you always have traction, especially in sandy or snowy conditions

Im a Turbo Mustang owner but this thing is utterly badass and would make me a little nervous. That awd is hard to beat sometimes. What a classy dude! If I was building an STI which I prefer over the Evo I would surely send my car to that shop. They have a great reputation in the import world. A real street car no gutted junk.

I admit that a stock ej257 will have head gasket issues but if it's a IAG block like he says then it's likely using the larger head studs and has been modified so it's basically a closed deck block and it also probably has IAG's fire lock treatment which is similar to how diesel engines are done so I doubt it will have any head gasket issues now.

Just as a public service announcement the head gasket issue is caused by galvanic corrosion in motors running the green antifreeze. The solution was grounding the block to the heads then to the frame and use of non ionic blue super coolant antifreeze. Other causes were manual boost controllers without a proper dyno ECU tune.

Saw a max of 76psi of fuel pressure. With a 45psi base pressure and considering it should be a 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator. I would call that a good 31-32 psi of boost unless the gauge isnt correct.

2.5 n/a forester/Impreza legacy. As long as it’s drive by wire style. The xt has similar manifold to wrx. If it’s slightly newer has the plastic manifold like the 08-14 wrx. Avoid that one, a lot of fab to get it to work. The n/a is better.
