$2K Budget Build Bedford / Holden Ratrod! Did i RUIN it by Clear Coating with Pearl the Patina?

In this episode 3 on the $2k Budget Build Bedford / Holden Ratrod we take a break from the fabricating and decide to do something different and Paint clear coat over the Patina, but as usual we have to do it differently and we add some pearl paint into the clear. It completely changes the colour, and the look of the truck, is it ruined? Well we will leave that up to you to decide. But there's no turning back. Your comments on this 1 would be appreciated, let us know if he has wrecked the look of this 1 or enhanced it. But as usual it is something different and unique.

I liked it with the original patina but this is so cool and different I think I like it more. Risky move but as usual you pulled it off.😅❤❤❤

The color shift looks pretty cool. Unique look for an unique truck. I agree with you about making things look different and not the same as you see at all the shows. Whether people like it or not, it definitely catches your eye.

It sure is interesting. I kinda dig it. I lime that it's different than just shiny patina. You made a back to the future rat rod. Took a 2000s chameleon paint job custom and made it look like it was done 60 years ago and lived a rough life.

It's definitely different. It grows on you. I have it sitting on a trailer in the sun and I'm loving it more and more, but it hopefully will match the other out there designs I have install for this build.

Great attempt 👏 and as usual you pulled it off looking really cool. Can't wait to see what finishing touches you put on this one. Huge fan of the roof chop. Im the same as you like doing something different i bulit a barra powered 56 bedford d series as a drag car after watching your first series inspired me to get in the shed. Definitely would like to roof chop mine your videos Definitely are encouraging me to attempt it.

I wouldnt say you stuffed it.... but i dont think i 'd have the balls to do it. Congratulations tho. If we all did the samething to our cars/trucks we'd be boring. Cheers Mate

Thanks mate, yes it was a ballsy move, this is not exactly what I had pictured but had to adapt after first coat changed colour so much, it definitely grows on you though and looks quite magnificent in person. But having so many it gives me the opportunity to try some different things that you normally wouldn't.
