i have played 2k every year since 2k18 and this year i just started to try and do a no money spent build i have a full time job and used all my saved up VC from the last 3 season while not even hitting level 40, i had maybe 150k saved up and it didnt even get me to 80 overall it was literally enough to get me to 75 overall. which i thought was crazy. i still am working on my no money spent build and its been 2 weeks of playing for about 10 hours a week, i have made it up to 80 overall and im a casual player with not alot of people to play with and have been losing and wining and it really has made me appreciate the grind of people that do this year in and year out of no money spent. but there is a different level of joy i feel with doing it this way, playing and just saving up my vc not spending it and actually having to be smart with my vc. when i see my overall go up even if its just one overall it is joyful because i know i worked for that. once i max out this build i think im going to do it again on a different build and use less saved up vc because honestly it felt like 2k was just getting boring for me and doing this made me re-enjoy the game. i was inspired by your kobe build badge then seeing everyone like joe do his and solo doing his, so thank you guys for that, but also to anyone it is possible to do no money spent and be a casual. you gotta just keep grinding and believe in yourself

The last 2k I bought (I think it was this year), I felt like I couldn't play against anyone online if I didn't spend money to get to 82 overall or something like that. Even when I did do that, no one wanted to play with me because I didn't want to purchase an outfit because I don't think that matters. I eventually ended up getting an outfit just because I earned the VC to do it and I was sick of looking at a brown shirt the whole time. Eventually, I just accepted that I was only going to be playing the vs CPU mycareer mode and I haven't picked the game up in a long time. 21:37 if we base when the last old gen 2k will come out based on their history recent history. The last 2k on PS3 was 2k18 so 2017, the ps4 came out in 2013. So it was a 5 year cycle before going only PS4 for 2 years. So based on that I would assume it will be 25 is the last ps4 game. PS5 will have 26 and 27, and then 28 or 29 will probably have the next new gen depending when the next console drops. But that’s just based off the ps3 to ps4

I feel ya on the no buying vc thing ...people think I'm crazy for this but I hit level 40 in back to back seasons without no level skips..It's possible folks..Grinding is some much better....And I only bought the game at 14$ at Thanksgiving time last year ..No 70$ buy from me nope!

Your not looking at the big picture of the creators being the problem. Well not the #1 problem but EASILY 1-3 because yall have a huge influence on people that you seem to not realize. If all yall banded together and told your followers not to spend any money. I bet a lot of people would not spend the money. Defiantly if they seen you not spending the money and showing them they can still play without it. Yoo I want to let y’all know what I’ve been through as a new player that started playing the game on current gen 2k23 currently standing at 1500 hours of gameplay in those 2 games 23 and 24 so far. I remember my first 300 hours of playing were only MyCareer grinding vc without any friends and sweating to play the best way I can as a 60 ovr getting like 750 vc per game as soon as I managed to get to like 73 ovr I started to play park where nobody really wanted to play with me and i was completely lost I think you already know what happened next i started to spend a lot of money on vc i think if we sum it up spent like 200$ (not including the game itself)ik for some of you guys maybe it’s not that much but where i live 200$ is worth like 800 of my currency and people here are making less money (i’m not making money at all because i’m 15) but for 2k shi like this don’t matter cause the only thing that matters for em is to make as much money as they can.

Me an the boys recently started up a league in the Eras section of the game. Quite literally one of THE ONLY “fun” things about the game. 2k has gotten so far gone from what it used to be. It’s a genuine shame.
