I think 2k is now catering the game to the competitive community and not the casual player. That could be a good or bad. A lot of people who play 2k are casuals and a lot of people who play 2k are competitive players but when the game leans towards one community, you lose the other community. Take 2k20 as an example, you didn’t have to be super good at the game to enjoy it and get wins. You could just be good at one thing and be effective. But there was still a skill gap between players where both parties of the casual and competitive player could still enjoy themselves. Quarantine or not, a lot of people enjoyed that game and played it all the way until 21 came out. 2k just has to figure out how to balance the game to where casuals can get on and enjoy without having to grind for hours to figure out how to master every part of 2k but still where the competitive community can keep their edge and skill gap

Imma call it now, 2k25 isn’t going to be much different than 24 and here’s why: This is the first year they’ve introduced pro play so they aren’t going to revamp their entire dribble system again. They’ll either add more or just retweak some of the animations. This is the first year they introduced the jump set push release system so they’ll probably keep that. They’ll either keep the shooting the same or expand the green window. Badge system will probably get minor tweaks but again this their first year doing badges the way they did so they’ll probably just rework some things. Gameplay wise, not much is going to change so it’s not going to be a breakthrough game that different than the rest. They’ll probably keep the city and remodel it. Graphics will probably be pretty much the same. New career story of course. I believe if you enjoyed this 2k then you’ll enjoy 25 because it’ll just be a 24 part 2 but if you didn’t like 24 you’ll probably enjoy the game first week because it’s new but you’ll probably hate about 2 months in if even that

I came back to 2k 23 after almost 10 years of being done with the game. Finally got the shooting down, then 2k24 changed the shooting smh 🤦🏻‍♂️ I literally couldn’t make a bucket in a game. This game is weird, on top on paying more to play I’m coo on it…

The love I have for 2K and hoops in general is the only thing keeping me on the game every year. But when these new games like GTA 6, Skate and Gears 6 drop… 2K will be an afterthought. Like loading it up once a month type sht.

I think in 2k25 they should let you pick up from where you left off in eras mode in 2k24 because in 2k24 i had to start over in the jordan era and kobe era when i was already 2 or 3 seasons in in 2k23 so in 2k24 i had to start over in the jordan era and and i had started a new season in the lebron era i now have won a championship in both eras 1 with the bulls in jordan era which now i'm in the 92-93 season and 1 with the lakers in the lebron era which now i'm in the 11-12 season and i would like to transfer it to 2k25 when it comes out so i won't have to start over again

I learned a bit of something actually, the reason you’re so fast is because they actually put speed in 2 different categories this year. Which is something they should’ve done a while ago tbh, but speed with ball is essentially how fast you are while you’re dribbling, and normal speed is basically just how fast you are without the ball just running up the court. That’s why you feel so fast compared to other people like centers, forwards etc, because no one probably has a speed over 80 and no one has even close to 90 speed which makes things very interesting because fast builds actually feel fast this year compared to other years which is one thing I actually love about this 2k.
