There is no traffic in SLC until someone has a fender bender.........then it's gridlock
@TheFunnyCamGuy5 жыл бұрын
Omg i just moved here and ive never seen a more retarded traffic system then here. And I've lived in cities far bigger than this and states notorious for terrible drivers/traffic. I swear there is an accident on i15 like every other day causing it to gridlock.

@@TheFunnyCamGuy ok, I have lived here for over 45 yrs and been to MANY big cities and SLC has a great system...just too many people moving here!! Too much traffic, so always trying to improve ALL the damn time! Ugh!
@TheFunnyCamGuy5 жыл бұрын
@@59Alaskan Its really not that great. I mean its not bad but everyone rants and raves about the grid system and highway set up and i just tell them they need to get out more because its not that special. There are far better and other places that are pretty much the same. People here act like slc has something no other city has or does. And a good highway system wouldn't cause a massive gridlock for an accident that occurs every day. And it is a growing city but its honestly not big at all. The neighborhood i lived in in Florida had almost a bigger population than salt lake city itself does. Dont get me wrong, there are cities with far worse traffic systems and bad drivers, ans i absolutely love it here. But literally everyone i have talked to just rants and raves about this and that when its not much special.

@@TheFunnyCamGuy well I'll tell you just about everything here is better than Florida. Why did you move to Utah? Probably because we have a kick ass economy relative to the rest of the country. Truth be told everyone i know that moves here from out of state tries to trash Utah, when in reality the fact is that they moved here because we have better housing, lower gas prices, better education, tons of good paying jobs relative to cost of living and one of the stronger economies the country. I drive truck all in the mountain west region from Washington down to New Mexico and everything in between and this is definitely one of the better states in western half and the western half is better than the shitty, overcrowded eastern half that's got rotting buildings and roadways, ridiculous crime, and dirty ass air.
@TheFunnyCamGuy5 жыл бұрын
@@jayk.2276 Lol im guessing you cant read. I never said Florida was better and i clearly said i love it here. I obviously left Florida for a reason. I was just saying everyone here hypes up Utah like they only have things exclusive to them. But cheaper gas prices? Thats funny. Gas is right around 3 dollars here. Its 2.30 back in Florida and closer to one dollar at a lot other eastern states. Also cheaper housing? Also a joke. Housing is not cheap here man haha. You make more, but that doesn't make the housing is cheaper, its quite ridiculous.

At the beginning of this video, they will extend the Mountain View Corridor (UT-85) to I-80 in the near future, and the new exit will be designated as exit 112, which is between West 7200 Road, and it does have an interchange from I-80 which is exit 111, and West 5600 Road, and it does have an interchange from I-80, which is exit 113.

I-80 is pretty short in SLC which is a large contrast to I-15. I-15 in the SLC metro is one of the sprawliest highways I've seen.

It’s such a beautiful city I mean it’s one of the few cities that has a near perfect freeway network for its size and rush-hour is one of the best in the country in SLC. Of course most things you see in this video were upgraded in the last 20 years.

not in the Winter...we get some really nasty inversions and the air quality plummets. rush hour traffic can get annoying but I guess it's not as bad as the I-5 in LA or Seattle

Yo, once you do eventually come back to California, could you do CA-299 from I-5 to US-101? That route’s pretty scenic and I think you’ll love it ;)

I'm familiar with the road, I've been on it a few times, its just a matter of getting up there. I'm also aware of some road construction going on there for improvements near the summit and for the aftermath of the Carr Fire. I'm sure I'll be up there sometime next year as I have family in Redding afterall.

Salt Lake The Crossroads of the West, Zion, The Mormon City, call it what you want this is the center of the road network in the West all roads lead to Salt Lake. Salt Lake is one place you don't want to get stuck during the day you have accidents and rush hour gridlock at night you have illegal street racing with can result in rubbernecking. If you want to go through Salt Lake go through here early morning or late afternoon on early evening avoid rush hour and don't go through here at night because the traffic will be bad.
