When I put everyone on no help the entire team just stops helping altogether even if I put help and leave him on a specific player.

I use your beyond hof sliders for my player lock career and I make a few adjustments to make it more realistic to me since im only controlling my rookie. But I feel like they do better with if you put the awareness on 100 because they react faster and stuff.

What is frustrating is that the MyPlayer system is the system they use for the entire game. For us simulation players it hurts MyNBA and Eras mode because it caters to online Myplayer crap. They need to start making two separate games in my opinion for this doesn't continue to happen

@@knova that's the only reason why we have to play with the sliders so much. The game is coded for online play and the have had to overcorrect the game because of the good players who exploit the coding and then the extremely average players which is most of 2ks base now. 2k used to be for the simulation junkies now it's almost EA all over again....money changes values for some...

Yeah I'd like to do more of these for sure!! I try to focus on the areas that r the biggest messes. Some settings r kinda obvious or just dependent on preference/scheme. I really wanna do all the pick n roll settings next!!

Yeah it's freakin wild!! I just had another ridiculous one happen just now actually...but it was the CPU doing it and basically handing me a wide open 3 on a critical possession🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

Can u help me with how to use my points of emphasis .. Does it work when off ball defense is on auto

Yeah ur right about that. The game only listens to those coaching points of emphasis if u have that part of the defensive settings set to auto. For example, if I put the help rules on help and no rotation...but then I also use a point of emphasis setting like "stay home", they'll listen to the defensive setting and not stay home. It's cuz when u customize the defensive settings, ur basically telling the players to listen to u and not the coach. Know what I mean? The coach sliders (like the help D slider) and the stuff in the timeout menus...that's all good stuff for ppl who don't wanna get into it that much and they just wanna like nudge the coach towards a general direction. it's much more effective to do the defensive settings but some ppl just don't wanna mess with them or they're not sure what to do.

Hey lol I don't think anybody's ever called me popeye before😂 I test on a variety of rosters just in case, but I've always believed the sliders r kinda independent of the roster. I mean as long as it's not some crazy roster where everybody's a 90+ rating or something like that. But if it's anything even somewhat realistic, then I never really get like a real difference from roster to roster when I'm testing. That being said, there's prolly 3 main ones I test on: the official 2K roster, ATD and CelticLg👍👍👍

@@brianhangfaing4946 In terms of the difference between those 2...it's really just a lotta little things. Player tendency ratings and animations r the 2 differences that stick out to me. I really just do that to try to get a variety when I'm testing. If I was forced just to pick one, it would be ATD. I use that one mostly when I play MyNBA myself! It's balanced and realistic. I also should say about the official 2K roster...I really don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be. Some ppl act like it's the worst thing in the world, but I really actually kinda like it. Even given that, there is one big thing I can't stand about the 2K roster...and that's the lack of attention to detail when it comes to animations!! Guys have WNBA moves and some guys with great ratings have terrible dunk/layup packages. I remember actually tweeting out a really bad example of this...it was like a month after Hamidou Diallo won the dunk contest, and he had like the 3 worst/most basic dunk packages and that's it! Smh that was pretty rough. Man I'm sorry I just wrote u a freaking novel!!! I eat and breathe this stuff so I tend to do that!!🤣🤣

Popboy I noticed using your settings that if a player is injured for any extended length of time (my example was 6-8 weeks) if you play 4 games the player is back to Day-To-Day and is ready to play in less than 2 weeks. I didn’t notice this on 2k’s standard settings, is it something you’re able to correct for the sake of realism?

Yeah I've heard about this same thing and I'm currently testing it. It's super weird cuz I don't have the injury duration set that differently from the default. So idk why it would happen just on my settings. I'll take down ur tag and come back and let u know what I find. Maybe even a do a video on it!👍

Same on 2k25 I literally have cpu & human Defense and offense awareness to a 💯 My players still play dumb I set NO HELP on everything samething

I've noticed with the myleague settings, the players dont seem to be regressing as fast as they should be. Is there any way to fix that? Giannis is still a 97 at 37/38 years old

1st I would make sure that it's a more general trend cuz some guys r just programmed to be outliers. Like I really feel like I could do any settings in the world and some guys will just never really fall off. They'll retire at like 95 overall lol so unrealistic. I try not to get caught up in the outliers tho...I try to look at the bigger picture. Now, if u do see that it is, in fact, a larger trend, then we'd wanna raise the player regression slider. In my sliders, I have it at 54. Is that what u've had it set to?

Does this affect CPU vs CPU because I haven't seen it in my gameplay?

Nah it doesn't affect CPU vs CPU...well I mean I have seen the CPU do it for sure...but the defensive settings r locked for CPU teams. U can only edit them for user teams. It's funny u mention that tho cuz for some reason, they seem to play smarter help D when they're playing another CPU. When I'm playing against the CPU, I'll see maybe 1 or 2 of these horrible overreactions per game...and I'll get an easy 3 out of it. But it really doesn't happen nearly as much in CPU vs CPU🤔🤔

Is there anyway for simulation to be more realistic. Every sim I do has the bucks and Celtics missing the playoffs while the pistons get the one seed in just the second season.

Yeah I freaking hate that too...I had the Hornets win the title and I was like okay well this feels dumb now🤦‍♂ There's a lotta ways to tweak the details of simmed games--like the simulation sliders--but unfortunately there's no way to affect who wins and who loses. I just wish they had like a "sim randomness" slider...or maybe some slider that let's u adjust how much the player ratings/talent on the rosters affects the outcomes of games!! I been tryna tell em!!!

The thing that is most frustrating about the gm is the cpu doesn't anticipate move or track the ball like a real player does. Imagine if they didn't do this on Madden, the game would be completely broken. It's shameful how dumb the cpu is on a next Gen system game and it's only cuz the devs don't give af about anything but the park and it shows because the cpu has been brain dead since about 2016.

bro, confirme if it's true When I'm creating an online league, are a lot of trade options and contracts disabled at setup? I'm thinking about loading your file after creating and hoping it changes these options that are hidden. When I create an offline league these options are showed up, I hate 2k 😅

I think it should have all the same settings as an offline league. That's weird if some r missing. I'm tryna think why they wouldn't have some trade or contract settings for online leagues and I got nothin. I mean if ur the creator/admin of the league, u should be able to see and edit ALL the settings. What about AFTER u create the league? They still don't show up??

What I can't solve its the offensive rebounds, all my players go to the rebound and abandon the shooter so its always of reb + 3

@@agildrake9787 okay yep I gotcha...I mean I suppose in a way that is actually realistic to a degree. I do hear commentators say that an offensive rebound is a dangerous time in terms of giving up a 3. But that doesn't mean we can't make an adjustment in the game to help. If call a timeout and go to the defensive adjustments tab and look for the rebounding adjustments, u can set that to "run in transition". I mean it's not like it's 100% (nothing in 2K is) but I think it does help cuz it keeps more of ur players on the outside when a shot goes up. So it helps kinda indirectly. I do wish they had a specific defensive setting for this, tho, now that u mention it. Like if we could tell our players not crash the glass if they're guarding somebody on the 3pt line. Like "perimeter defenders stay home" on rebounds or something like that. There r other settings/points of emphasis in the timeout menu where u can set it to "no threes" or "stay home", but those go out the window when a shot goes up and it's a rebounding situation. So I really do think our only option is the transition setting to at least keep more of them around the perimeter when a shot goes up. I know it says "run in transition", but I wouldn't worry too much about guys leaking out super early and abandoning their assignment. The fastbreaks aren't that good at all in the game this year.
