As a long time store comic I can vouch for this. NOBODY likes him and it isn’t debatable. Even Erik Griffin makes fun of him the second he leaves earshot. He fucking sucks both on stage and in the green room. Thing is he has no idea. He’s unable to process the visible discomfort on other people’s faces when he comes in and tries to dap them up like he’s part of the club. One of my favorite instances was I was with Bobby Lee and Dice and a few others by the back stairs while he was on in the OR. For the first time of the night there is absolutely no laughter filtering through the hallway. Just dead silence. We’re all making fun of him and laughing out balls off at how bad it’s going. For reference, when you’re standing back there and someone is doing remotely well you can’t hear the comic on stage’s jokes very well, just the pops from the audience. We could hear every word Shaub said into the mic and the absolute silence when he tried hitting a punch. So he finishes up and comes out through the hallway and somebody sarcastically goes, “how do you think that went?” Shaub completely misses the tone and immediately smiles and puffs out his chest and goes, “oh killed it bro, they’re hot tonight.” You have never heard a group of half a dozen people laugh harder in your life. Might have been the biggest laugh of Brendan’s whole career. He just stood there smiling, no idea he was the butt of the joke.

I get having a "community" but people like these assholes and Joe Rogan act like comedy is a cure for cancer or some shit. You are just ENTERTAINMENT, if stand up comedy was outlawed today the world would keep spinning.

He's been in a lot if random stuff over the years. Catch him in an episode of Frasier back in the day as a shock jock type character. I don't think he's completely untalented, but just like all these Rogonites he's been overinflated to way beyond sensible levels. All just desperate to stay relevant.

Oz was a great show. Cant remember Bryan being in it, but then again I didn’t watch all the seasons. Callen isn’t terrible, but worst decision was to hitch himself to this narcissistic douche clown.

I love Callen. When I moved to America in 2016 I made sure to see all the hot comedians I could, Theo, Burr, Rogan, Dillon, D'elia, Diaz etc - and Callen was one of the BEST live. In a world of perpetual trans jokes, gay jokes, 'risky' jokes (Matt Rife etc), and just general shitty derivative commentary, Callen's child like play and humor is totally warranted and honestly hilarous to see on stage. I'd watch him over Theo, Bert, Tom, Bobby, Santino any f*ckin day.
