He looks like he's gonna cry. Very powerful performance. You can see his throat tightening as he chokes up right before he begins singing.

Such a sweet combination, Jackson and David. Never knew exactly why. Now, we see.

JB is not only the best lyricist of my lifetime, but possibly the best voice too, as his acoustic works highlight so beautifully. So much talent. Love ya, Jackson.

Recorded 30 years ago, but so much emotion and feeling in this song. There’s no one like Jackson Browne. I’m fortunate to have been a fan since the 70’s.

Probably the best song ever written and sung!! Each time I come back here, I get more baffled than I did the last time thinking about the number of people that haven't heard it.

I only ever found out about it from a few seconds it plays in an episode of Friends (I think in the first or second season, maybe second season because it's adjacent to the breakup). It's been one of my favorites ever since and (thankfully?) never had to experience anything so devastating romantically in my life, but I can still respect and appreciate the quality. So glad I was paying attention to the music in the background that day!
