I was in first hour biology class when the class phone rang, it was my dad saying he was going to pull me out. Foo Fighters were playing a in-store @best buy. Since he was regional mgmt he said it was my job to escort the band to the stange- I went to the back of the loading dock, opened the door and amongsst the flood of light, Dave Grohl 'n company. Instead of heading straight for the stage they said they wanted to do some shopping first. For 30 minutes me and Dave Grohl picked out Kung Fu movies and geeked out over music. Believe this was in 2000 or so, I was 14.. I remember the basest wasn't a fan of me and the new guitarist was from Minnesota (where I'm from) .. Was epic. My family is sick and tired of hearing this story so I thought I'd share it with you lmfao.

@drummerguy 85 Everyone else introduced themselves and were super nice to me, talking etc.. While Nate was obviously in a bad mood. This was right around the time Chris joined up.

Nate must have been having a bad day. He always seems to be nice and have a lot of patience. I met him after a show in London, asked for a photo but my phone didn't work and he was super kind, posed for about 10 photos with me to make sure I got it 😂

There is Nothing Left to Loose is such a great album. Everyone loves Learn to Fly, but get passed that and you will find some real gems in the huge catalog of music that is Foo Fighters.

Headwires into Ain't It The Life into M.I.A. is blissful. Really the whole of Side B has such a great vibe.

Now i understand why i love There Is Nothing Left To Lose so much, from the very beginning. I agree with him, it's an album with quite a relaxed, positive vibe overall, to the point i love to listen to it when coming back from my job, while riding my bike, let's say a Thursday or Friday afternoon. Dave and his pals did really a great job with this album, it's definitely one of their best for me 😎

JD Kroeske, the host of this show also did that famous Nirvana Radio session where "Here she comes now" and "Where did you sleep last night" were performed. He knew that Dave didn't want to talk about Nirvana since it was still too raw a subject for him (as it still is today) but when Dave saw him he went "Oh hi there, I remember you!" and started about Nirvana himself. Much the same when Dave was interviewed at the Foo's 1995 performance at the Paradiso Amsterdam, the guy who interviewed him was the same guy who interviewed him and Krist back then and Dave was at ease straight away, a familiar face and somebody who he knew wouldn't ask dumb questions.

I'm an upcoming musician, and these live videos that 2 Meters release, helps me to go through this really tough period of my life, and actually I started to learn Dutch and start a new life in the Netherlands, I really wish I can do this, and work at anything that got to do with music or movies as I am a huge movie Guy too, the video editing and shooting is like heaven on these recordings, I am really glad that they really exist ♥♥♥

Man, they sure looked like dorks back in the day. I mean that as a positive. Being young and trying to fit in, not being cool, just being a regular dude, seeing a band with people just being themselves instead of having a worked out gimmicky image, is really important!

Absolutely! That specific interview is hilarious, but in general Jan Douwe Kroeske is pretty decent and quite important in Dutch pop journalism, for good reasons (incl. these 2 meter sessions)
