This is such a bad way of doing it in today's date. Use lumetri color effect and in it use vignette. It's much less intense on your system and takes way lesser time to render. I did the method shown here and my system was asking me 12 hours to render and export the video. My system while isn't great, it's good enough. With the method I mentioned, it's faster and easier to render and export.

why is the circle effect causing such a massive performance hit. It's a freaking circle. Even with a 0 feather, it can't play video smoothly without playing back at a lower resolution or rendering first. What gives? Does anybody have an answer? (My hardware shouldn't be the issue. 9900k, 2080 ti and 32 GB of RAM with an NVME M.2 main drive and my project file and temp files are working off of a USB 3.1 gen 2 controller with nothing else utilizing said controller. I just don't get it....circle effect is off and everything is fine. Circle effect is on and it's like it's having a freaking heart attack. :|

In my version of Premiere the effect "circle" is listed as obsolete so it won't get large enough the in frame unfortunately.

Hey, use the vigenette setting under the lumteri color effect which can be found under effects. It's an easier method.
