I'll tell ya, to this day when any of my buddies are having trouble with clutch engagement or slipping after installing a new cable.. I refer them to this video. makes it so easy for inexperienced diy'ers to understand.

took my clutch apart yesterday, checked and changed worn parts, mounted everything back on. then the clutch cover.what a bit*ch to mount, almost lost it. then those markings.. way off alignment as the usermanual says and i had no clue how to adjust this. spent at least 2 hours. no way, jose. searched the internet for hours until i found your vid. today, took everything apart, and adjusted it like in your vid and everything works again! let me know when you are in austria, first beer is on me ^^.

OMG Thank you. This vid helped me out today. Had to replace the cover and had the rod where it was supposed to go but it didn't feel like it was grabbing like it should. Watched this video and within 5 minutes I had it fixed. Thank you!

+1 for using a magnet on a stick through the oil fill hole. Took about 4 hours before trying that.

2006 r1 i got it lined up on the dot like yours but when using a crescent wrench i cant turn it like how u did. I thought the adjustment or turn/freeplay ends thefe

On my 07 I could have sworn that dot was to the left but everyone told me it had to be lined up with that arrow I saw another video of a guy he just took the arm off slide the case on and lined it up with the arrow

Where does the two bolts on the clutch cable need to be so it don't move back and forth

99 yzf r6 franken bikes been parked sadly way too long....bike will start, idle {N}, but soon as i try to kick into gear she dies, being yzf its got alot of wire bypass worth mentioning (clutch,kickstand,signals, lights ect.) i know some faults here can cause an electric shut down as a safety measure, but prior to inspecting all of the harness i took out clutchbasket and put it back in after hearing "defintly jsut stuck clutch plates' - wrong !due to storage)

Hello , I’m new at this so bard with me please . I have a 2007 R1 runs great starts right up but I stopped & hosed it off at car wash & rode half mile & it stopped changing gear or going into gear & want some help trying to fix it. how do you replace that silver spring? the one on my r6 is not strong enough anymore to retract the cable.

The spring is bolt in to that whole cover just got one for my r6

I just changed clutch on my 06 r1, everything seen good but its extremely hard to pull the cable, and when I put it on gear it jerks and dies right away, so I'm guessing clutch is not engaging any tips? Thanks

I have a 2003 yamaha r6 and after I changed the clutch kit now when I hold the clutch lever and put it to 1st gear the bike's back tire turns and speed goes go 12 km/h. I installed the ebc srk clutch kit. Any idea? Thanks

Unfortunately not, but I changed only the friction plates ( some racing version ) and left the old pressure plates so the overall thickness of all plates combined might be wrong, I mean in my case I should replace the pressure plates too maybe that is the problem.

I've tried doing this for 3+ hours Lol. I don't know what could be the problem. I installed my new clutch set. and yes, they are in order and in the right way. but my clutch is not engaging at all. when I start bike in neutral and pull clutch in to put it in first gear it cuts right off.

I've got r1 1998 , been standing for four months got on it pulled in clutch into 1st an it's like u hav no clutch but all the resistance is in the lever could it dry ?

I have a Yamaha r6 2008 I’ve installed a new clutch, there was no markings or any signs of any size difference in the friction plates or clutch plates...however when I connect the clutch cover and align all the dot and triangle up it’s freely moving but when I tighten the bolts up the clutch arm sticks...do u know why this may be at all..? My 2002 wont shift pass 3rd on some occasion I change the shift rod It still happens sometimes if i pull shift rod with my hand i can shift fine but when i mount it were it goes I have that problem Due to the fact that pulling with my hand it shifts fine is not the transmision right so what am i mounting wrong Email suggestions to [e-mail] TY
