Lynn looking gorgeous as always and poor Rob with a sore throat. Just a little observation, very surprised the mot station allowed Rob to go into the pit, most garages won't even let you stand near the vehicle when it is being tested. Hope you feel better soon Rob?

I had a friend that didn’t realise he had a dodgy tyre on his caravan, he was driving down the road when it blew out. By the time he stopped the flailing tyre tread ripped out the floor of the caravan, half the wardrobe and a fair bit of the toilet. The caravan was a write off! It turned out that the tyres were old and well past their life date, yet there was plenty of tread left on them. Apparently when tyres get to a maximum of10 years old they should be replaced regardless of tread condition. My expensive month is November, the car insurance and motorhome insurance come up for renewal one day apart, so a huge chunk of money disappears out of my account. Just got to the end of your video, thanks for reminding me the cam belt should be changed after 5 years. Mine was 5 years old at the end of May, so I’d best get it done. Goodbye money, it was nice knowing you!

Hi and yes, it can cause so much damage and can be so dangerous. We had a defender years ago and there was so much tread on that but they had to be changed because of their age, Wow it will be an expensive time for you but glad we reminded you Take care

Thanks for showing us the good news of a clean bill of health on your motorhome; as you say it is always a worrying time. Rob just think, when you get your voice back you will need to increase the volume of your delivery to ensure that your vocal cords have not been damaged!!😅

MOT time always a financial worry. Ours is a 2006 hymer model. Do most f own own servicing and ongoing repairs to Happy area. Had ours done 2 weeks ago. Passed with no advisories. Roll on September for Shepton Mallet and takeroo meet week later.

Firstly rob go to the doctor and say you’ve had the problem for over 3 weeks. Send you to ENT straight away. I had a growth in my voice box but managed to clear it up in 6 weeks. Secondly we got our cambelt done for about £400 on our 2015 bessacarr. Just comparing really to try help x

Yay it passed well done guys glad it passed,June is bad month for us insurance mot tax and service been a very expansive year this year with our mollie x4 tyres cam belt and water pump new brake pads on front plus the other bits we had done the mot was a nitemare on way to mot could smell diesel really bad pulled over we had a leak coming from fuel filter area luckily the garage we use for our motor home said. Don’t worry we look at it before mot turned out the water sensor that is attached to bottom of fuel filter has been snapped presume while the new fuel filter was being fitted.not going to blame the company we use to do repairs on our motor home as he’s so good and knows his stuff it bought up engine management light but it was after garage disconnected dont know much about it mot tester said basically if water or condensation gets into the filter it drops it out the bottom any way this was our first mot on our Fiat Ducati swift lifestyle 696 and she passed first time no advisories so happy 😀😀😀get well soon rob you sound awful 🤣🤣don’t be kidding him Lynn 🤣🤣🤣😭

Glad the 'Bus' passed! Bill was not too bad! I'm glad our Van has a Timing Chain so saves us some money! Though I would do it anyway. I did my friends before her MOT as I couldn't be sure the Belt had been done before she got it?? The Dealer said yes it had been done! And a Full Service! Bit sus when I had to replace the Airfilter and a wiper blade when we picked it up and it had just passed an MOT! Sure enough they never did the Timing Belt! In fact the water pump had started to leak so I did that too! If the Belt broke it would be Goodbye Van!!

Have the same problem as you, all our family vehicles need money spending on them June and July. Only Taxed the Campervan for 6 months this time so it is due next end of December. Will of course cost slightly more in long run but its one less expense next year.

You can book an mot a year in advance minus 1 day, so you could have your next mot in June.
