Just fine. The question should be “why are Delta’s gate agents allowing people without boarding passes to get on their planes?”
@eddies9681518 сағат бұрын
Delta has issues with the FA's procedures. When the final soul count is done before closing the boarding door to match ops manifest count, ALL lavatories are supposed to be checked. This is Delta's issue. TSA may be dropping the ball as well, but the buck stops with inflight following procedure. Sheesh
@ai4px15 сағат бұрын
in fairness, it appears Delta's headcount caught the extra person that TSA let in to the secure area.
@eddies9681515 сағат бұрын
@@ai4px No, no fairness. The headcount and bathroom check come before the entry door is closed. The stowaway was caught because they peeked out of the bathroom door which was right next to Door L4 which is where 2 FA's were sitting.
@DeNyce-12 сағат бұрын
In all fairness inflight can only do so much. This person passed through at least two areas that should have caught that something was off. TSA and the ticket or gate agent. During boarding I firmly believe that ALL airlines should change their policies. People are standing up, going to the lavatories back and forth. It is a lot of moving pieces that takes place during boarding. I personally think the lavatories should be locked during boarding and not unlocked until in flight. Grown people should learn to use the restroom and take their kids to the restrooms before boarding the aircraft. But that’s just my opinion.

Guys ! I saw a news report on how people do this. They buy a cheap ticket and use that to get through security. In this case the person wanted to go to Hawaii which is a pricey ticket. Then they go to the gate of the flight they want to get on. Hang out until someone is looking at their boarding pass on their phone. Snaps a picture of the boarding pass and uses the picture to get on the plane. Once on the plane they need to stay out of site and hopefully find a vacant seat or hide in the bathroom.

The amount of eye rolls I get from American travellers is because it’s a foreign concept to them. But you will be amazed how many people board the wrong flight or present without even having checked in. People are sheep and when stressed during travel will follow others because they don’t want to miss the flight. Or during busy times the gate agent gets distracted and someone slips through without scanning.

He stepped on me, smacked my phone out of hand, all while hurling every expletive at me that you could imagine. What’s crazy, is that the incident was COMPLETELY unprovoked. It was like he was triggered by landing. The flight attendants cared more about ending their shift than taking him into custody. I ended up getting shuffled around Hartsfields, from Flight Attendants to Red Coats, Customs Enforcement, ATL PD and finally Homeland Security, where I was told that I should’ve hit him back, WTF! It’s the Wild Wild West in airports these days. After I submitted my complaint. Delta’s response, “We can not control the actions of other people onboard… we are not able to restrain a customer at the gate no matter the circumstances… we are sincerely sorry.” And that was it.
