This is peak Ludwig. Him and Jerma have a chance encounter on Mizkif's game show, which unless I'm forgetting something only occurred because Jerma stans spammed Mizkif's chat at the right moment and Jerma watched the clip offline. On the game show, Jerma makes this obscure callback Battleship-meta joke (that even I was unaware as a reliable Jerma viewer) in all likelihood because he thought no one else but his chat would have any idea what he was talking about. Ludwig, showcasing his trademark combination of ridiculous charisma and ridiculous luck, uses Jerma's joke as an in to do a co-op Battleship stream, the success of which he was able to leverage into a prominent role on the Dollhouse stream and a likely recurring fixture to any future Jerma content. Jerma is notorious for his general lack of co-op streams, but he's been around long enough to directly inspire many prominent variety streamers today, Ludwig included. The fact that Ludwig was able to go from self-declared "Jerma simp" to helping to finance plus acting in Jerma's wildly successful dollhouse stream in basically two months is as awesome as it unsurprising for someone with Lud's interpersonal skills. I'm just happy that we all get to benefit from their collabs as a result.
