I'm a 3.2 hcp and traditionally played the TSR 3. I just got fit....I went into the GT2 this year with the Ventus Black. Comparable spin, higher launch and extremely close ball speed. Not to mention the MOI aspect. If you are/ were a TSR3 guy like me....look at the GT2 this year...it'll shock you.

Good feedback!! GT2 is a lot closer to GT3 vs past Titleist driver series. Awesome to hear you found one you like and works for you

I played the TSR3 last year and just got my GT2 today. I played the TSR3 in a 10* but I’m in a 9 in the GT2. Just as long and more forgiving. Love it. I’ve got the GT2 9* in the A1 setting with a Ventus TR Black 6X.

That is a fantastic setup. Have to imagine you'll be hitting some bombs off the tee

I just got fitted into the GT4 at 8 degrees with a low-low shaft and weight forward. Obviously I'm normally a high spin player, but this got me into a perfect window -- 170 ball speed, low/mid-2000s spin --- which I haven't found with any other driver. And I love the smaller head shape, especially because I like to play slightly shorter length.
@eriksvideos60225 ай бұрын
Didn't notice any significant feel differences between the three heads, BTW. All felt great.

One word of caution on the GT4 for fitters…DON’T discount normal players hitting a GT4 best…there are some people, could be mid/low/high handicappers who just don’t like large headed golf clubs, irons or woods, and con’t hit larger headed clubs better. I’m not a high speed swinger anymore (100 mph), but still play blades and blade-like irons (T150s and Miura KM700s) because anything with more help are just too big to hit and I wind up hitting it all over the face…I wasted my time playing T200s, P790s, JPX 923HMPs over the last two years…I’ve had similar experiences with drivers over the years. I used to play the smaller headed 910 D3 (I think that was the driver), and I hit that driver as well as I’ve ever hit a driver since…I went from that to a SIM2 to my current TSR3. However, with the GT line, I plan on making sure I hit the GT4….

Good feedback here and you make a great point. The GT4 impressed us during the testing and with that heavy weight back, could be a really nice option for players that like the look of a compact head.
@joelane28455 ай бұрын
Hi guys! Did you guys have the 14 gram weight in the back on the GT4 driver? Thanks, Joe
@2ndswing5 ай бұрын
Should have clarified this, yes, the 14g weight was in the back for the test. We plan on doing a video soon on the adjustability of the GT4.

Is there a reason why Titleist doesn’t have a plain “GT” or a “GT1?” Why do they skip straight to 2, 3, and 4?
@2ndswing5 ай бұрын
In the past (with TS, TSi, TSR, etc) Titleist has released the 2, 3, and 4, before then releasing a 1. This isn't to say that will happen for sure with the GT series, but that has been the cadence in the past

Mark Crossfield did a comparison video and there was zero difference, actually the TRS2 out performed the GT by a small margin. But Mark does sell clubs he’s a swing coach so he can be honest with his review.

@@2ndswingYou don’t want to do that if you want to sell GT drivers, if it’s a honest comparison.

Awesome….time to buy a TSR 3 on discount!
@evandh19895 ай бұрын
Looks like they dropped the price on the entire TSR line down to $449 back in May. Maybe they’ll drop them again (idk what they’ve done historically), but either way I’d bet they’re banking on the GT’s $649 price tag driving additional TSR sales and clearing inventory.
@redpillpharmacy68775 ай бұрын
They’ve raised the price to $649. This is outrageous. I will not pay such prices. Note: I CAN pay such prices. But I WON’T.

Custom driver fitting will easily push any brand on the market over $1000… If you want off the rack items then just do that and grab a tsr that’s been used and save the money.
@2ndswing5 ай бұрын
We don't charge for fittings -- they're free with a club purchase! You can schedule a fitting and if you don't want a premium or upcharge shaft, then we won't fit you for it! Our fitters understand golf is an expensive game and know not to push golfers into a club or clubs that is outside their budget.

Thanks for watching! These Swing Report videos are essentially our first impression. Of course, we learn more about them throughout their time in our fitting bays. But the GT lineup looks like another good one in our eyes.
