YG-Life explained the video. Basically, people these days prefer to be on phones (the virtual world) or are attached to their electronics everywhere you go i.e. bus, trains, restaurants, etc... Someone else commented on the MV video that it's essentially 2NE1 saying "face the reality, quit living in a fantasy land".

That acoustic transition for CL though. Such perfection shouldn't exist. I've written this is several other reaction videos so for those who've already read it be warned. Lol. This was very reminiscent of films like The Matrix and Minority Report and a couple few that I can't really remember right now, in which they live in a Dystopian kind of society/future where a virtual reality exists outside of their own. The one in this world is aptly named Virtual Paradise and it's a place where people can get away from their reality and find refuge in a fake world which caters to their desires. Dara's husband is addicted to this and, from what I took of it, is deteriorating physically as a side effect from it's constant use (or uses the virtual world to escape his sickness, which he grows addicted to and constantly seeks solace in it but ultimately leaves Dara behind to watch him die as he spends his shortening life without her leaving her to yearn for him to come back home). Outside of this storyline is a separate storyline which connects with it in where CL is a leader of a group of rebels that try to find a way to destroy the virtual world, with Dara's involvement being motivated by her situation with her husband. Whenever they enter that world you know because of the trippy CG animation scene. The virtual world is when they're dressed in black and initiate the riot which is then mirrored at the end in the giant screen.

The 2ne1 come back home video is about how they live In a made "virtual paradise" and they are working undercover in the labs without anyone knowing. They made a plan to rebel at a certain time and when it came time... Well they killed and destroy stuff and got other people to join in the end to show the world that this was not paradise it was a hell on earth :D hope this helps!

No you are wrong. The boyfriend in the MV is dying of cancer and is at his last moments. After pills and drugs they find a way to plug the boyfriend into a virtual paradise so that he could pass away in "paradise". After CL destroys the power box, the boyfriend dies in virtual paradise. And they want the boyfriend to "come back home", to come back to them...

I read in a article when they were interviewing YG about the vid. He said that the inspiration for said vid was the Matrix also how he sees everyone is going online pretty much 24/7 and how it is ruining relationships with loved ones (that would explain Dara's Scenario).

i think the whole story is, dara and her bf aren't living a great life together (him taking those pills). he sees an ad for a virtual paradise where everything is perfect, but fake. he leaves dara to go to this virtual paradise. Dara becomes miserable without him and is trying to get him back home along with the rest of the members. the people in all white at the dinner party represent the people who made the virtual paradise, and are getting rich off of it by selling a fake image to unaware people, hence why they take revenge and wreck the whole thing. it gives the song a much deeper message than a man who needs to come back. it kinda hints the theme that a perfect relationship is not a real one, and some people need to "come back home" or "come back to their senses" and realize that someone shouldn't leave a relationship just because it isn't flawless. or maybe YG never had a plot and just wanted to use epic CG and have the girls break and graffiti random crap like Ugly XD.

Virtual Paradise is a digital alternate universe that Lures people to it and traps them so that they can't return to their real lives. Dara's boyfriend has depression and he believes his life in Virtal Paradise will be better than his real life. Dara notices that he is Lured when they are watching TV and she is worried because she doesn't want to lose him. She knows that if he goes, he may never COME BACK HOME. He stops taking his pills to treat his depression and shaves his head as a way of saying "I'm done with this life." Meanwhile CL has already started planning a revolution against Virtual Paradise. At first it started small, destroying digital signs that advertised the Paradise. CL goes to a secret hideout where we see Minzy and Bom designing weapons and stuff. Dara and her boyfriend say their goodbyes and then he goes into the Paradise. To get inside the Paradise, you have to be hooked up to a machine and then your soul takes an insane trip that seems like a hallucination. Dara tells 2NE1 that her boyfriend has been Lured and they realize the revolution has to start now. The only way to stop it is to destroy it from the inside, even if it means they can never return. They know they will have to die along with it but they gotta do what they gotta do (lol song reference). Dara knows that if her boyfriend is in the Paradise when the revolution starts, he will die painfully, so to save him from this, she plugs him out, still killing him but in a less painful manner. Minzy takes the weapons to the a group of rebels. Then in the secret hideout, 2NE1 hooks themselves up to the machines and enter the Paradise with the rebels and start by crashing a fancy banquet held by the creators of the Paradise. Bom disguises herself as the performer, and Minzy and Dara as the caterers, and thrn CL comes and they kill the creators. Then they head to the city with their group of rebels and destroy everything, even themselves. And we see the broken Virtual Paradise from the outside. The End.

I think what happened was Dara's bf/husband saw the add and spent money on it but he had to take pills to avoid the side affects Dara got upset (for wanting the old life of when they were both happy) so Dara and her friends (2ne1) decided to destroy the game from the inside.The part when Dara unplugged his cord was supposed to be like he was trapped I'm not sure if he died or was stuck but anyway they destroyed the world setting everyone free

The video means at the First Dara have her couple/lover is suffering in a sick and when there watching a tv together they watched the "Virtual Paradise" advertisement where futuristic but everything is not a reality... Then her husband joined the Virtual Paradise by himself and Dara is really sad because of that... So Dara joined Minzy,Bom, and CL's team where the team gonna make a rebellion or war against the futuristic yet not realistic. They go to a Dinner party where futuristic people are dressed white and knitly... You saw CL sprayed Red paint at the people showing blood that they making war... So they kill all the futuristic people ... And then as you can see 2NE1 members (in the story) are running with there rebell team celebrating their SUCCESS REBELLION. And at the end you can see the futuristic city in now in explosion and falling a part into pixels.... Futuristic Yet Not Realistic vs. Present but Realistic

Yo! we gotta admit that they are still on the top of k-pop Thank you 2ne1 for saving me from the dissapointment with SNSD. I love the video, the song, the beat, their vocals sound amazing.
