CL IS THE BEST LEADER ON K-POP. I Can still remember how she saved Dara from a 9.0 magnitude Japan Earthquake. Dara was trapped in the 36th floor of the hotel. Dara called CL then without any hesitation CL came to rescue Dara even though the building is already shaking hard. They are not just team mates! They are sisters!

Yea, idk why but I feel like with OG k-pop, they always sounded even better live. K-pop idols nowadays are good with their vocals too but I can't seem to find any actually live singing bc they mostly lip-sync. The only ones that I know of that still sing live are Mamamoo, BTS, Blackpink, Red Velvet and BTOB. There are probably more that I'm not aware of though but as I said earlier, I just feel like OG k-pop always sounded even better live. But I still appreciate the idols who sing live nowadays as well bc they are giving their best and I appreciate that and they sound great live as well.

Zceska Botin Bom’s contract was suspended because of a “drug” scandal- she had medication shipped from the US by her family to Korea as it was illegal - she was unable to go to the US to see her doctor to get her medication herself because of her schedule. So she was investigated for drug smuggling. The charges were dropped I believe as she provided her medical records stating that therapy was not as effective as her medication I think it was for anxiety or something along those lines I believe. Minzy left and they became a 3 piece- then YG did not renew their contracts as a group. CL and Dara were signed as solo artists. Their last song was Goodbye in 2017, which was based on a letter CL wrote to Minzy when she left. Bom was apart of the Goodbye song. Nowadays Bom is a solo artist on a different label, Dara does TV shows now I think, CL has gone solo trying to break into America with songs in English and she’s done lots of modelling and then Minzy is doing solo music and KZbin

The art and technical department of MAMA must have been in on the surprise. It is possible that not EVERYONE involved knew, and that they conducted closed rehearsals, but it is impossible that they just turned up and said "oh by the way the rest of the band are here, just put this mp3 in and we'll take care of the rest" - The ear monitors and sound levels are crucial for performers of their calibre and you can't just wing it without a proper soundcheck, especially in such a huge arena. I've been involved in several award shows of this type and let me tell you they are rehearsed within an inch of their lives. It still makes a great video that I cannot stop watching and it doesn't make the joy of us fans to see them reunited less genuine!

Bom was involved in a "drug scandal" (she basically used medication from the US that counts as a drug in korea or something like that). Yes, people expected to CL performing solo, so everyone was shocked and happy and HYPED AF when the rest of the group came ... I remember watching that live and crying sooo much lol... You can see how happy the fans are when Bom is singing ... wow 2015 was a good year ...

@@atlf3357 i mean... my comment was not meant to be a door for putting other groups down, however 2ne1 used to have some complex choreos, they were the ones who setted most of the standards for kpop, EVERY way of performing in my opinion is valid, and i'm glad that groups are being open to exploring dance, idols are not very well-respected when it comes to the dance scene, however it's very clear that a worrying majority of idols don't have any charisma.

Min yoongi Genius Minzy just released Lovely on her own KZbin Chanel. She’s so beautiful and her voice really shines through. Cl also came out with a video that features all the girls supporting her, it’s called Done. Bom was on a show talking about a comeback, I think her last solo single was called Spring. Dara is in her first musical called Another oh hey young. They all support each other so much. They definitely want to get back together but can’t for legal issues. this is what we called a real live performance. how the artist can communicate well the audience with their stage presence, how they can hype the crowd with their vibe and absolutely can amaze the viewers with their own colors. be honest, we (the viewers) wanna sees it well and feels the song that their sing to us. if the song is ballad, we want to feels like we gonna burst our tears down. and of course if the song is hip hop/ upbeat songs, we want to jump or moving our body. we don't wanna see their full choreography bcs we can see it through their another choreo vids, we don't wanna hear their full singing on that performance bcs we can hear it through their song (audio only). the viewers wanna sees something new on their performance even though that's still the same songs. 2ne1 bigbang can do it great with flawless, their own charisma and power. that's why we love them so much

I love how BP fans are coming to defend them in every comment. The newer fans(2016 and above) probably didn’t know how hard was for the 2nd generation groups to get recognized internationally. 2ne1 did everything possible to make it big with what they have and they did. BlackPink got lucky to join in the perfect time where Kpop was less of a tabu and online promotions were easier. I’m sure if they would have been the ones debuting during the 1st and 2nd generation era they would have not been able to make it this far. 2ne1 showed how much they loved to perform in every performance. BlackPink not so much but they got the lottery and we can’t do anything about that.
