After that first verse I was like "This man is tripping" and came to the comments to talk my shit. After the 2nd and 3rd, I saw you got it 110%. Side note, when you were talking about how pac wrote that part about his 357 being like a separate entity, almost like a couple. There is a song where he does exactly that called "Me and my girlfriend". He wrote the song as though his gun was his GF, kind of like how Nas did "I gave you power" from the perspective of a gun. Also, if you like that revolutionary shit, you should check out the revolutionary speech he gave to a packed house in the early 90s. That shit will have you amped the fuck up.

Im with you on the whole "posthumous" album thing. Like you said, they usually just take bits and pieces of different lyrics from different songs and paste them together over a trash beat. That was what tupacs albums "loyal to the game" and "pac'sife" were, absolute trash! But the R U still down album, for the most held true to pac's vision and his lyrics. You can listen to all the OG versions of the tracks and tell they didn't really mess with editing his lyrics much. Some? Yea but not much. And a lot of the beats are pretty close to the OGs. Some of the beats are more polished and updated versions of the original tracks and some are completely new beats. But this is actually my favorite posthumous Tupac album because it's the least altered and that's mostly because if you read the credits for all the songs, 99.9% of the producers, engineers and artists that worked on this album knew Tupac and worked with him before. As more posthumous albums came out, they started working less and less with people who actually knew Tupac and with every new posthumous album they began to become more and more edited and chopped up with garbage beats and features from artists that never knew or met Tupac. The last posthumous album that I semi-enjoyed was better dayz. After that? Trash. The best Tupac posthumous albums in order: 1. R U Still Down 2. Until the End of Time 3. Better Dayz And man, I can't believe you don't like this beat! 😂 One of my favorite beats on the album! Especially compared to the original version! This beat complimented pac's intensity on this song. The original just doesn't pack the punch that pac's words needed! And again these lyrics you listened to aren't cut up and edited from different songs, what you heard was the song, just updated and polished a little. But great reaction, I subbed! Sorry for the rant! LMAO!
