2Pac "Thug Luv" Ft. Bizzy Bone & Sylk-E. Fyne (OG Remake)

😅 Whew!!! This took some HELLA reconstructive surgery to recreate this.
I'm sure someone's gonna come along and say "Hey man, why didn't you recreate it in the pitch/key/speed that the real OG is in???
Well I always kinda viewed the quality of the OG version that's available is in cassette tape quality with all the warping (vocals being pushed over slightly to the right of the mix) and sped up pitch which seems to happen when songs are recorded to cassette tapes on some tape recorders back then.
(Booooy if tapes make a major come back like vinyl has the younger generation will get to experience that "bittersweet" sound that I wouldn't mind forgetting about 😏)
All that said I decided to remake the song in the pitch of the retail version so that the vocals would be in a normal pitch.
Let's go back in time a bit. (about 6 months to a year ago)
During my time working with DJ Moey and and a bunch of other reproducers on reproducing the tracks that make up the "One Nation" album. I took on the task of recreating quite a few tracks including the OG version of "Thug Luv".
First I extracted the drums of the retail version to get things started. Yeeeaah I could've resampled the "Sing A Simple Song" by Sly & The Family Stone drums, but I reeeeeally didn't feel like going through the trouble of arranging and eq-ing them to recreate the "Thug Luv" drum pattern.
I couldn't find a choir sound, screams or that "Duhn-Duuhn" horror string sound to match the one in "Thug Luv" either, so I extracted that as well.
Now as for the Piano, Bass Line, Orchesta String and Violin sounds I replayed them.
Speaking of the Orchestra Strings and Violins I couldn't help but notice that as I was recreating the pattern that it reminded me of "Inspector Gadget" whenever the show would play music que variations of the theme song with a few missing notes which is an interpolation of a classical song called "In The Hall Of The Mountain King". 😁

One last thing, I happened to notice that the OG version doesn't have the "Friday The 13th" chh, chh, chh, chh, ha, ha, ha, ha sounds in it, which I'm guessing DJ Uneek added that in later on the retail version, so I didn't add it into this remake either.
I wanted to make this version as close to the OG as possible, so there's no Layzie, Krayzie or Wish Bone on this mix. Just Bizzy Bone, 2Pac and Sylk-E. Fyne.
