Kidada Jones dated LL Cool J for 2 years. He said in his book that they discussed marriage and he even bought a ring but ultimately he broke up with her over her spiritual beliefs. She would pray to statues, consult a guru and visit an ashram. She was a rich girl who grew up pampered in Bel Air. They were just so different. Pac was a strong believer in God. He was raised by Black Panthers, grew up poor and had to work hard to become a self-made man. Other than physical attraction I think his lust for Kidada would've worn off. I doubt they would have ever gotten married.
@angelindisguise32042 жыл бұрын
What version of LL's book did you read? I read it and he missed being with Simone and the kids. Whatever ring he bought was a promise ring she was 17 attending Fairfax HS when they dated. He broke up with Kidada for more than spiritual beliefs. LL said she couldn't relate to him being from Queens, absent father and being homeless sleeping on subway cars. She didn't have to work for anything and wanted a round the way girl basically
@samrindge80422 жыл бұрын
@@angelindisguise3204 Kidada was born in 1974, and they dated from 1992 to 1994. I read the book, I Make My Own Rules, which he released in 1997. He talks about his relationship with Kidada from pages 152 to 154. Here's an excerpt: "I respected Kidada. We might have stayed together, but I guess fate and God had other plans for me. Kidada studied a form of yoga. She would go to an ashram, consult a guru, and pray to statues, No disrespect to any religion, but I can't pray to statues. . . . Before my album 14 Shots to the Dome dropped, Kidada told me she threw some kind of stick into the eternal fire for my album. I was like 'Yo why did you do that? I didn't ask you to do that!' That joint flopped crazily. 'Oh, well, I'm sorry I cared!' she said. I had hurt her feelings, but she had hurt me too. I know she meant well, but I just couldn't get with that. She took me to her guru once and I remember kneeling before this strange young woman who was touching us with feathers. I said to myself, 'You know what? I'm like Solomon right now.' I was being led to praise things other than what I should be praising-God. And that freaked me out-it shook me back to reality. Here I was again, trying to go with someone else's flow, sacrificing my soul in the process. I knew then I couldn't be with her. I thought she was a really nice girl, and we even talked about getting married (I bought a ring and everything). But I knew God didn't bring me all that way for me to turn my back on Him and go out like that. It boiled down to the fact that we just didn’t believe the same things. No harm, no foul. It was not about disrespecting Kidada, it was more about me respecting and connecting with God on a level where I felt comfortable. We weren't on the same wavelength, not just spiritually. I was from Queens, she was from Bel Air. I know what it's like to be hungry and live on the subway, all she's ever known is being rich. She has a rich, successful, talented father. My father was mostly absent. She praised a guru and statues, and I praise God, straight up. We were just different. So we went our separate ways."

I understand Des is just giving her perspective and experience with the man she knew, but come on bruh… as much as I love Pac, men run game like that all the time and Des was young and impressionable af so anything Pac said in the heat of the moment, she went along with it. Pac said and did many things out of impulse or just feeling it in the moment. I know a bunch of men that fantasize about bringing an heir/ess into this world to carry out their legacy. Sometimes the woman(and her womb) they decide to do that with matters less and sometimes they’re just used as a means to an end out of convenience to carry his seed, especially if it’s a girl they fuck with for a while so she’s familiar and suitable to be baby mama. Sucks but that’s how men see it. If not, men would marry these women if they loved them that much instead of making multiple women baby mamas with no wife in sight. Pac said himself several times that he’s old school in relationships and wanted a wife THEN kids and proved that by not knocking up random hoes with the amount of girls he fucked in his lifetime. He said he wanted to be a good husband before kids so I don’t think he would have randomly gave up his beliefs for Des of all people lol. Plus the fact that babies were discussed by them but not marriage told everything I need to know about how he really viewed her. And let’s be real, if he was really adamant about being with Des, making her wifey, and having kids with her then he would have done so and no one could convince someone like Pac otherwise. Especially after being released from prison. He had all that time to take her seriously and he still kept her on the shelf to grab at his convenience. I think Pac knew what it was when it came to Des. She would have been down for whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to do it. He ain’t here to defend himself either so she can technically say whatever

@@sudhramjutun5694Not true. First off as a Muslim you have to abide by the laws of the land in which you lived so naw Tupac couldn’t have become Muslim to marry 3 women nor did Tupac plan on marrying 3 women’s! Please! He may have been still sleeping with some other chicks but trust and believe he was putting Kidada on a different level, one on which she was going to be his wife! Of course she’s not going to like PAC’s other female ‘friends’ she’s not dumb. She probably didn’t think they were doing anything but probably thought the ladies wanted to and wanted her position which obviously they did. Quincy Jones wouldn’t have had that, Kidada’s own upraising and place in the world wouldn’t have had that and Tupac wouldn’t have had that because he knew Kidada wasn’t just some jump off.
