This hobby is so lucky to have this channel. I doubt there's a player here who hasn't had your lore videos on while we paint. There are three channels that really show the kind of dedication and quality that a fan can add to a tabletop world. 2+Tough, the Loremaster of Sotek and the Black Pants Legion (if you're into Battletech). I love it all.

From a narrative perspective, the age of myth is a pretty cool plot device. It has enough to be interesting but still has good mystery meaning you can have so many differet things come out from the age of myth and actually have the plot arc make sense.

My favourite story: Morathi; "I want to gain more power. I might seduce one and gain secrets to ascend to godhood. Who are my choices?" Door #1: Sigmar, a human god. He was alone for the longest time and men have needs that can be abused by pretty ladies. Door #2: Alarielle, an aelven goddess that used to spend a lot of time being comfortable with handmaidens, and relationships between aelves were very flexible in the Old World. ... Door #3: Nagash...god of the dead... who has no flesh or carnal desire...the embodiment of the cold emptiness of death...an absurdly powerful mage that can likely see through any glamour with ease. Morathi; "I CHOOSE THE BIG BONE DADDY!!!"

In fairness, she actually did go for Sigmar first, but he turned her down. The problem was that she underestimated how violently Nagash would react.

From what I gathered, when the World-That-Was shattered, the magic within concentrated and formed the realms, and it took centuries or even thousands of years while Sigmar was drifting through space

Your vids are so good I don't even skip the ads. It's small but I know it helps and I really want to support your content. You work really hard and are super welcoming to new people. When I first started you were my go to KZbinr. :)

Doug, you are the best content creator for AoS. I adore your videos.

I’m not sure exactly when it happened, but being a Skaven player, that the Great Horned Rat was the first of the chaos elements to sneak his children into the realms. At least I thought he was the first.

I love your videos, but I especially liked the lighthearted tone on this one, you really hit the humour right :D

One of the things I find interesting about the Age of Myth is that in most fantasy settings humans are usually the "late comers" of the races. But in Age of Sigmar humans were there at the beginning and are one of the oldest races. Older than elves even.

Love your videos on AoS, any chance of doing a video on Dracothion himself someday? I try looking him up but there's little I can find on him specifically besides that he's a godbeast and the god of all dragons, the stuff on him when he finds Sgimar in the Age of Myth, that he and Sigmar created the Extremis Chamber together.

i dont actually play the wargames anymore (money and time mostly) but i do love the Warhammer fantasy lore. The story of the AoS seems super interesting so thank you for sharing this. Are there any books you would recommend that aren't the codex ? also your voice is mad soothing and relaxing while talking about mass destruction its both funny and enjoyable. Keep it up !

Can you do lore videos on the order faction and what they believe in and what not?
@MrMoralesmario714 жыл бұрын
Man I really love listening to the lore of AoS but it would be amazing if you could make a playlist following the timeline of the lore.
@2Tough4 жыл бұрын
you mean like one playlist in chronological order of the major events? I think I can do that!
@MrMoralesmario714 жыл бұрын
@@2Tough yes please! Like starting with all the main events that happen in the age of myth followed by the age of Chaos and then AoS. It would help new people watch all your videos without jumping from one event to another and understanding the lore better. Thanks man keep up the great work and you’re the best.

My biggest question is where does the Old World fit into all of this? Did it take place before the Age of Myth or during it?

Can someone tell me where he got that picture of Nurgle's realm and is there art of that detail of the other Chaos God's domains? I remember the old picture of the realm of Choas but it wasn't that quality.

Interesting. Yeah I guess the stone age would be our age of myth. Never thought about it that way.
