Norm, I feel your pain with the allergies. I got the same "thousand needle" test when I was a kid, turned out allergic to almost everything that wasn't food. Cats, pollen, and dust mites are my biggies. Used to have to go home once a week when I was in middle school cause it was so bad.

I’m not gonna assume your situation but when I got into baitcasters, I started with a Black Maxx on a Varitas preowned. Only changed the line and spent less than a hundy. Dream combo is a Metanium DC on a Shimano Expride 7’2” but that’s a pipe dream
