A couple tips. Buy a harbor freight tire bead breaker, I even use mine on car wheels. That way your not relying on a shop. Use dish soap to put tires back on. Use your heat gun on your seat vinyl before putting in initial staples as it will get your cover tighter, then as needed while stretching for the rest of the seat. 😊

for the seat you can use what is called scrim foam in either 1/4 or 1/2 thick and spray glue to attach it to the old foam before attaching the cover it will look way better with no lumps, also make sure to use stainless staples

The best way to restore the plastic. Take a rag or paper towel and your old oil from your last oil change. Paint down your plastic. It will take a couple of days to soak in. I had to do mine 3 times to get it where it wouldn't soak in any more. Then wash it off with light soap. It looks brand new and not damaged like from the heat gun method. I discovered this by spilling some oil on my plastic. I guess if you wanted to go "High Dollar" you could use new oil. 😄

Get you a couple bars of Irish spring soap, cut them in half and throw them on the mower deck under your cover, mice can't stand the smell of it, that's how I keep them out of my boat and camper when they aren't in use

Spray glue a trash bag to the foam on the seat and its 100% easier to stretch the cover. Also just a personal preference but for a little bit more money you can get a much nicer cover made by Enjoy.

Another great video and great deal on that quad. Not sure if anyone else noticed but I think the rear rims might not be the right ones for that quad. The tires look to far in from the edge of the rear plastic and too close together from the back. With that solid rear axle the rims should probably have bigger negative offset. I just went through the same thing with a Big Bear 350 I bought and fixed up. Otherwise it looks GREAT!

I have the same with that quad however I pay $4,500 for mine. I had to also replace the belt when I got mine. There is a little nut in the bottom of of the housing is there to drain any water that will get in period in the front of the Quad you will notice the air vent in the top Front plastic that vent goes down and through the housing of the bell and out through the back of the Quad to keep it cool that's how water sometimes will get in there and that's what burns the belts out. I have rebuilt it from the ground up I ride it every day pretty hard I have no complaints it is however a cold-hearted Beast I usually start mine and let it idle for a few before I take off on it also the 4 by 4 sometimes need adjusted there is a nut at the bottom that you just adjust just follow the cable underneath you will not miss it the best way to test to make sure the 4 by 4 is engaging and disengaging right is to put the back wheels up in the air and put it in four-wheel drive they should not turn because the front wheels will be on the ground stopping them then put it into wheel drive and turn them and only the back wheel should turn it is important to listen to make sure the front is not clipping on the PIN that makes it go into four-wheel drive this is where you will have to adjust the nut you don't want it to be clipping I will eventually mess up the four-wheel drive it is hydrostatic it is a very good quad though in a very good motor. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me I am a professional on this quad nowadays. I like that you do this and teach people that's awesome wish they had KZbin When I was a Youngster good work keep it up bud

Great deal with a lil work, here in Ohio people have 4 wheels that look worse or engine / trans issues asking $1000 or more. I picked one up a Honda 300 for $700 guy said it ran fine drove fine. Got I home started running thru a few days later opened garage both rear tires flat left front soft tried to start it dead battery when I filled the front tires noticed a bungee cord around the tie rod took it off tie rod fell off 😂. Jacked it up to take tires off ball joints on both sides bad jack up the back seen something that didn’t look right swing arm bushing gone I’m surprised it didn’t fall off. Ok got all the parts put them on including new battery. Fired it up sounded good, took it out side rode it for about ten minutes noticed it was smoking rode a lil more and more smoke. I used it just to hall my deer last year, about month ago did a top end rebuild. No more smoke runs good think I need to adjust the rockers

just FYI there are threaded holes on the secondary clutch right next to the mounting nut u can use a clutch cover bolt to spread open the secondary this must be done to insure when u tighten the primary clutch nut u actually tighten the drive plate tight if you dont u run the risk of tighten the belt in between and it will run that plate loose and IT WILL strip on the splines of the output shaft..
