I own a 4wD TRD O/R but firmly believe as long as you are exploring who cares “how capable” your truck is...from what I see you hit more trails than most with 4wD! Keep it up Bro!

One trick if you get stuck in the Toyota is , drop the tail gate and get your mates to sit on it , will give you heaps more traction.

Having a hard time finding a trail map that's not a hiking map for this loop. I don't want to end up on a dead end, and I'm not trying to go advanced trail yet. I'm very much rookie status at this point . not trying to kill my 2022 Silverado. any suggestions for better map? your vid shows map but I can't see it very clearly

Try downloading Gaia gps...its a better map system than google and has a lot of details

Thanks for the encouragement man! Honestly that's why I started posting these videos. I like to think any average person can't really afford thousands of dollar of mods on their vehicle and it's nice to know how capable some trucks are in stock form. At the end of the day, it's all about going out and have fun and being outddoor.

Love your videos! Question about this loop- can you camp out on the trial in one of the dead ends? or do you have any recommendations for off road trails that you can stop and camp along? we’ve done Anza Borrego , and Black Mountain in Ramona (this one is my fave!)

Not 100% sure about along the trail, but there was a campground area right near the beginning of the trail. I just did a video on 5 more areas with disperse camping in SoCal.

Haha, it's definitely a capable vehicle. AWD is better than 2WD for sure, but clearance is better on the Tacoma.

If you're looking to do more off roading/overlanding. Just get the 4wd...I honestly would've gotten that if I knew how much fun it is. But if you're doing something similar to me...than 2wd and some experience is all you need. Not sure the year...but the ranger is my buddy's custom made turbo diesel 2wd ranger.

Yea it's pretty sketchy in some area for sure, but my Tacoma don't even have a locker haha. Just a limited slip differential. Helps a bit, but not like a locker.

@@pauljackson7020 Yea, it's definitely not as good as a locker. I know a fellow 2wd Tacoma with an ARB locker that had no issue climbing that arch on both sides. On Facebook, theres a ton of Socal off roading group that does trail if you like to be part of it. There's even a 2wd off road group. Tell them I sent you. Some good knowledge people on it. Tell them I send you haha.

@@pauljackson7020 I agree, a lot of to do with knowing your truck first. I've seen guys with 4x4 not knowing anything about their rig and theirs 2WD guys that can conquer some difficult trail. I think the off road rookie guys did this area last weekend.

Thanks for the support bro! Its very capable for a lot of things I've done with it. I've gone off road in mud before, but not sure as in mudding, more like trails that've been in heavy rain. Not too much snow action, but have been in snow condition. Would love to go to some snowy area this coming winter to see how it performs.

I've just use google map most of the time. Alltrail app for looking at different trails, and a few other ones. But google and alltrail are my go to app and KZbin haha

That trail is beat to hell the last 10 years. Shoveling off obstacles and filling holes with rocks at Kramer's arch to get through is horrible. What a bummer what the motoring public that does not know how to drive has done to our trails.

@@drakocorrals3429 I first time I got stuck was in the sand as well. I usually air down to around 15-20 psi, but with sand they recommend airing down 10-15 psi.
