I've been watching your channel quite a bit since getting my 2023 890R in June of 23' and have ridden 16,000 miles in the last year and a half. My first trip was 10,000 miles camping off the bike out west for 4 months. I just wanted to say thanks to you for creating all these videos on your channel. You have a great on camera personality and an easy way of talking with people. I enjoyed watching you and your sister ride together as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks and to let you know that there are people like me out here in the ether, watching your videos and who really appreciate the time and effort you put in to sharing your experiences with us. Maybe we'll see you on the trail someday... Christian Brooklyn, NY

I can handle that. Was first concerned about spending money on a bunch of tools but that does not seem to be the case. Much appreciated.

Thanks man! I'll probably get a jump on some stuff so look for valve check/adjustment video, spark plug change, etc likely over the winter

Thank you for your very timely and detailed video! I have the new 890 Adv R but suffered from leaking forks by 2500 miles. Got it sorted under warranty and now another 1000 miles my left fork in leaking. Why would new forks leak?
@2WR5 ай бұрын
Because you got dirt in them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6qugpWcjb2iY80si=JGDEhi-M2WSCl3tW

Eventually turned to WP as my fork carried on leaking. Turned out the dealer (who changed seals etc under warranty) on reassembling the forks didn’t fit the retaining ring on the right fork. Unsurprisingly the dealer is being an arse. Point being, if you want to do the job properly, do it yourself. Hence your videos are really great-keep them coming please. 🙏

Good stuff. What's the purpose of red rubber gasket on the bottom of the shock? Have them on my 1290 as well. My 23 1290 sas (spoked wheels 50/50 tires) developed a leak on the front right shock. Only 100 miles of dirt roads for the most part. Little alarming but still under warranty. Used a fork cleaning tool on it, seems to have stopped, but haven't taken it on a ride yet. Hoping for the best, but researching for the worst case scenario. 😄

Assuming you mean fork and not shock. It’s just a guide to show you how far it compresses.

Using the 48mm seal driver ... did you set the bushing and oil seal at the same time? or did you set the bushing first, just off camera?
@2WR29 күн бұрын
Bushing typically just falls into place, if not, set it before driving the seal.
