The R151 having lot of problems on running even though after it's debut. The problems are: 1) Overrun the PSD (mostly when approaching Pasir Ris) 2) Emergency brake through the stretch between the 2 stations 3) CDD fault 4) CLD fault 5) No announcements except fot the Doors are closing announcements. These problems keeps occurred occasionally through the journey. Not only that it delay the other trains behind R151, but because it has an insufficient testings

The legacy MRT lines (EWL, NSL) tends to do very poorly during rainy weather. In the old Westinghouse ATO days, once rain is detected the trains will stop and train drivers switch over to driving manually. However, once it switched over to CBTC full driverless mode it has to successfully detect rain and make necessary adjustments to prevent such overruns. The first few minutes where there is minor rain the train tends to slip a lot more than under even heavy rain. If the train does not account for this rain and still runs as if it were under normal conditions then it is guaranteed to overrun. Switch to RM came way too late. Either the train driver is new or hasn't manually driven for a very very long time.
