Awesome! Nice job! Given the power needed, this could probably loaf at 3kW dead key! Those BLF188XR are literally indestructible.

yes i feel that these devices are awesome long as ya can keep them cool! great deal by running two if ya can loaf them at 1500 watts now cant you find another filter so you can run them at 1500 watts?

This filter is rated 1kw ccs, no problem to run 1.5kw pep through it, that is how I run mine. I rate the amp at 1kw because imd is better at 50% duty cycle. In fact I know it will handle 2kw pep! ; )

Just a suggestion: Maybe make the fans run constant speed instead of speeding up/slowing down with the modulated signal. Possibly put a sensor in to automatically increase/decrease fan speeds. Like I said, just a suggestion (and I just realized this is from 2016 so you may have already done this)......N4PCB

Where are you getting your copper spreader board for the heatsink? Are you milling them or buying the 2x version from someplace?
@KF8OD18 жыл бұрын
I make everything by hand. The heat spreader is 4" x 5" x 1/4" copper buss bar. I flow solder the two device to the copper and screw it down with some heat sink compound. I build my own amps. I don't machine any of the surfaces. I am just a rag chewer running 1kw. If you want to run these devices at their max rating you might want to machine the surfaces.
