@WillShakespeare2007 Fair enough. I see from your post and his reply that I misunderstood his meaning by "like this" as if he were saying we were doing things "for example" this rather than "of a similar nature". My bad. By the way, this video gave me the wiggins! I used to do some caving despite a mild claustrophobia, but that tight squeeze he's going thru is definately beyond my tolerance level. Sheesh!!

@4246theone - actually, if this was made 3000 years ago, and the new testament was written 2000 years ago, we were doing things like that only one thousand (not "thousands 0f") years before the New Testament was written, and as the Pentateuch dates back several thousand years before Jesus, it predates the mine.... Not that the timeline signifies anything in particular - just correcting your chronology.

@Kate4291 - You might be trying to correct him but you are doing a very poor job. He stated we were doing things LIKE THIS thousands of years before the bible, and humans were. He did not say that this was thousands of years before the bible. Perhaps you should spend a little more time reading and less time correcting.

More "makingitupasyougoalongandcallingit"history"" by Neil Oliver. Honestly, barely a sentence comes out of his mouth which isn't entirely unfounded speculation. I suppose I shouldn't care but I can't help feeling that, ultimately, it is as harmful as not teaching history at all.
