My coach used this formation, I played in the left wing, but instead of the midfield going to defence, he made the rw and lw into lb and rb when defending, when counter attack happens, the midfield instead takes the lw and rw role while the cdm is the sole cm left, leaving 5 people at defence

With the issue of 3 attackers pressing your 3 defenders during buildup, do you think you can mitigate that issue by bringing up the right keeper to make a back four during buildup? Still allows your libero CB to move forward and still gives you the numerical superiority to build out. As the team moves up, your keeper will stay back and the back three can spread if necessary like Man City and collapse forward/backwards into a back four if possession is lost.

Hi, this app is sport session planner. If you see my newest videos, I now use TacticalPad for my videos. Both are good but I would say that I like TacticalPad more. The good thing about SportSeasionPlanner though, is that you can also use it for Futsal. On TacticalPad, you would have to but the software separately to use the Futsal option. I hope that helps. Yes, TacticalPad is more user friendly. It is more like having a tactic board and having all the buttons at your disposal and Sport Session Planner is also like that but bit more complicated. The main detail is that TacticalPad is like an actual tactical board, it doesnt move whereas sportsession planner is a bit more adjustable. On one hand that l is good because you can look at things from different angles but it can be annoying when trying to grab a player, ball, cone, etc., and you grab the field instead because then the whole field moves when all you wanted to do is move a cone. TacticalPad has different field angles that you can choose from but once you choose it, it is fixed. SSP has other field angles as well but they are all adjustable so the same problem can arise with all field angles. I would like to be clear, I prefer TacticalPad for my videos but in general both have their advantages. SSP has everything saved online and you do not need any extra storage and the football option comes with the futsal option as well. That is extra for TacticalPad. I know this is a long response but hope it helps.

Yeah, this formation is very attack minded versus the more defensive option of the 3-4-1-2. It is great for possession and offensive variability but can be exposed during defensive transition. Thanks for your support! Coach Luis

@@LaVidaFutbol Yeah, I think he was asking, if you have a back 3 wouldn’t that mean they’re all center backs and wouldn’t that also mean your two wide players (the #s 7 & 11 in your video) aren’t midfielders, but instead they are wing-backs?

Benjamin Moreno Saldaña yes the back three are naturally considered center backs. It’s also possible to play defensive players that can act as center backs. With respect to the outside midfielders, I would still consider them outside midfielders rather than wingbacks simply because they are in the third line rather than in the second. That is a difference between playing with the 3412 and the 3142. If you have more offensive minded players + a #10 then you can play with this formation. If your players are more defensive minded but are conditioned to run up and down the pitch, make crosses and help the attack then the 3412 would be more appropriate. It always depends on the type of players one has. I hope this answers the original thought.

Yes, the 2-1-4-3 is a variation of the 433 in which you have the FBs push up in line with the two offensive midfielders while the #6 position stays back to help the two CBS. I’ll work on that video soon. Thanks for your request. Coach Luis Laureano La Vida Fútbol

I would say you need strong center backs who are dynamic and can play well offensively and defensively. You also need a strong #6 who can play as a CB as well but also be a box to box player that can stop the opponents when necessary. I think Man City have the team to play in this formation.
