I don't know why it worked out this way, but I spent hours trying to get the Data Source file to work, I kept on getting errors. I tried reading articles on the web to find out why I was getting the connection issues. Finally choose the 2019 Azure model rather than 2016 like you suggested and this worked. It works! Yes, this looks a lot like Power BI. All that matters is it now works.

Please clarify whether Perspective [2:38 min] has dependeny on SQL Server license edition or on Power BI license edition? Thank you for this video, but I don't understand something... Everything that was done in this video can be done directly in Power BI. ETL and modeling can be done in Power BI, and DAX measures can be created in Power BI. Why do all of this in Visual Studio instead of doing it directly in Power BI? Did I miss something?
