"A composition depicting life in Tajikistan using an instrument called the 'konun'. The konun is a relative of the Arabic 'kanun', but is not as popular in Tajikistan as in Arab countries. It consists of a trapezoidal resonating box with many strings over it. It is played by plucking with a plectrum attached to the fingers."
