I reported this in evocati testing, the patch the bug was introduced, and it was confirmed. I melted the paints because itll take forever to get fixed, turned it into an Avenger warlock

Do you think u could pls make a video talking about the issues with the polaris interior quality? I really dont see too many yters except tiny ones acknowleding how the interior has such glaring quality issues compared to other ships that have been coming out. The internal layout makes little sense I am saying this for many years by now: Why not consult an architect? 2. Brig has very little meaning for game play, the brig rooms are too big. It feels like someone just wanted to waste space. 3. Torpedoes lying in an open magazine, just so we can reload the torpedo magazine with a magical handheld tractor beam? One of the torpedo rearm tube goes through the elevator. 4. While we are at elevators: Can they be anymore slower? 5. Five Doors from the main corridor into the cockpit. Automatic doors that open very slowly. 6. At least the Scorpius DS (aka Antares) co-pilot has a new job: Be the "fire torpedo button pusher" I get it, CIG don't want people to solo with a Polaris, but there are better ways to do it. At the very least, the "fire torpedo button pusher" should be on the bridge, not far away from the bridge crew, with little tools to gather tactical awareness. 7. With the introduction of point defense systems, Polaris main weapons, her size 10 torpedoes are almost useless against ships with PDS. 8. Front turret with 2 size 6 "bespoke" ballistic cannons, that do rather little damage. 9. Water in the engineering room? Overall what we got with the Polaris feels like a training object, to show new people the ropes, to learn the tools. Not a functional ship.

Im pissed. The redeemer screens and displays are all bugged and using it bugs them across all ships till you log out The polaris was supposed to have repair/rearm and refuel facilities its advertised as such but they walked that back. They bugger my ccu chain with a price raise totally un announced....not the only ship they stealth raised the price on

Exact same happens to Retailiator module rooms, if you install the now ingame available cargo/torpedo modules. Cannot say/confirm if the same happens to cash PURCHASED Retaliator, but I don´t expect them to behave different. Whole room becomes transparent and you can look through the (most likely unopened) room, even when still standing in hangar. The other parts of the Retailiator don´t seem to change from that.

I wonder if the "competent" devs might know so little of their game they flagged the Sabre, Sabre Comet, Sabre Peregrine, Sabre Raven... all as the same Sabre, while using the same paintjob on all, which obviously would bug out on the physically different "Sabres". Then again, they might just as well have messed up the paintjob itself. 1000+ employees, but not even the most basic QA is done for things sold to customers. I honestly don't know what to expect from this company anymore. Are they now making bugs to make us think they're that incompetent, so they can just keep stalling on actual game development while cashing in on ship sales? I mean, can you be THIS incompetent at game development/management? Even if we take complete dumpsterfires of games, I'm fairly sure halfway competent staff could have turned them around to a acceptable state with the insane funding SC has, while not having or breaking every sort of deadline.

@MadIIMike the problem is: There are not many competent devs left at CIG. It is not only John Pritchett who knew what he is doing and is sorely missed by the community. Of course, everyone can make mistakes, I make mistakes, but this is not exactly the first time CIG is selling very expensive color swap paints and cannot even be bothered to quickly check them before selling.

Half the ship is invisible. Can't argue about stealth with that! It would be fine if this happened rarely since mistakes do happen. But when it's most things that come out broken in some way it's fair to critique.

This seems clear to me: they are creating these paints by simply compositing a colour palette, seeing if those colours look nice together, and then editing the hex codes. What they did here, was leave the final two digits as 00 (invisible) when they should be FF (visible). You can easily make this mistake because the editor panel shows you the colour without showing you the transparency. e.g. Bright red would be #FF0000 - Invisible red would be #FF000000 and VISIBLE red would be #FF0000FF This means they didnt even look at the MODEL in an editor. JUST THE COLOURS in a toolbar (at most). They literally changed a few sliders over the course of seconds maybe minutes, and shipped it with a $7+ price tag.

@N1ghtR1der666 CIG's UI was always bad, but since 3.23 it is a total nightmare. Things that are quick, easy and painless in most games, like: "picking up a gun lying on the ground and putting it into your inventory" are slow, awkward and tedious in Star Citizen.

I cannot confirm the faulty paint for the Sabre Raven @camural ,it works on it and looks kinda good even. Please dont hope for them to release hex codes because they have an own category for paints on the pledge store, next to ships ;) that says all I guess

I tried to download the game 3 times last night. Game wanted to go on my main drive and i didnt find out until it said no room on disc on the very last step after trying to download over 90gb. I tried to move over all to another dive also did not have enough storage because the game didnt tell me how much I needed. Had to google it. So then deleted some games and move some others around and couldnt download. Found out it was trying to make two starcitizen folders after RSI folder. So I deleted one. The third time downloading everything was set I just tired of waiting so just closed everything out mid download and said F it. Wasted a hour trying to down load the crap only to probably delete it again when everything doesent work per usual

I have to disagree with item banks. I think its better to do them. forces deliberateness. the mixture is the better bet. I'm into paper dolls but not sure in public if that's something that makes sense vs being in a closet or something where a Paperdoll makes more sense. I'm not trying to play star citizen in a way where I hurry up and just beat the game. and the fact that things need to matter, with the idea of death of a spaceman. and these things I think it's just fine. makes you HAVE to either pay attention or die. lol I'm good with it. there are FAR more punishing games that exist than this. Tarkov for instance. is even MORE punishing. but you get used to it. I think there's just a line between wanting everything to just be fast and the idea of things just working in general. Also, the paints thing is trash. it's annoying and I know they need cashflow, but paints are just egregious means of quick money making. I'd much rather see cash produced in other ways. What was more interesting was IAE flew by and no new concepts. which is interesting imo. didn't they always sell concept ships? could this be the peak of the ship workload pipeline right now?

You know, I would be fine when they never said this. But they always set the bar so high up that no matter HOW and WHAT they deliver, they dissappoint the bakers... Dont get me wrong, the skins are wayyyy to expensive and I only "buy" them when I have leftover storecredits but I am so fed up with all the promises they make and never keep.
