[3.24 RDY] THE ARAKAALI'S FANG OCCULTIST ZOOMING AUTOBOMBER - Build Guide - PoE 3.24 Necropolis

Although a bit nerfed in the 3.21 Crucible League, the Arakaali's Fang Occultist is still a great build as seen in this video. This casual friendly, mostly unique set-up is a really good mapper and bosser. With the Forbidden Flame and Flesh Mistress of Sacrifice Jewels we are a lot faster than in the previous league, and it feels like, we're finally zooming. Explosions, damage, defenses, phasing (cool guys don't look at explosions), this build is a lot of fun and I'm glad that we're able to play it for one more league.

Hello, really liking the build so far (lvl 92 atm), added decoy totem for some dangerous situations and a medium cluster jewel with "Lead by Example" to the mix, seems to work well as a spammier alternative to vaal-haste and you get +10 dex as a bous.

@@eugenerayner6883 I haven't played that many builds lately, so probably not the best person to ask, but if you want to go for the Uber version, then it's a really good build. Not the best Uber farmer since we don't have spell suppresion but it works. The Uber version is more for players that don't wanna make a different build for Ubers and just wanna force these fights with raw dps. Maybe just make the medium budget fang and try out a different Uber Farmer? But I'm not sure what you're gonna be able to find on this budget though.

Instead of face to face with the boss, you can just use convocation after using the whriting jar, it'll summon your skitter bot to near you and kill the worm

Hey. Thanks! Haven't played around with Immortal Call in around 3 years I think so I don't really know to be honest 😅 Molten Shell feels the same in maps by the way. Since we are not linking it duration support, it rarely went below 5k last league. Vs Ubers... well, they're gonna be a lot harder now since Molten Shell was kinda my crutch vs them without changing the whole build and going into spell suppresion. Every few maps I also cast my Vaal Molten Shell after my Molten Shell expires, so it is a bit more work, but only if you want to level up past 95. If you don't care about leveling or if you wanna go the 5 way route for level 100, then Molten Shell is plenty. According to PoB we are at around 150k Ehp with Immortal Call and we are at 220k with Molten Shell. Maybe someone more experienced than me can help you out. I'm a Molten Shell guy :D

Ty bro! You're probably gonna like it. In mapping it's amazing with Mageblood, however, for Uber Bosses, it's gonna a bit of work with this Full Unique casual friendly setup. If you wanna run Ubers, go for full spell suppression (pretty much means changing all the items on the build). Good luck!

Hey. Spiritual Aid is for better explosions. Generally speaking, unless a mod specifically says that it affects minions, then it's safe to assume it doesn't. For the amulet, the damage over time or damage to attacks roll doesn't do anything to our minions. What you can do if you're unsure, is try it out in PoB.

Started today. Since it is a secondary character I already have most things in stash (mageblood needs some savings and clusters are yet to be crafted) so it was fun crushing the story with spiders. I used fang as soon I was able to. At lvl 70 I pulled out the squire an instantly started running T16. Rippy but doable. Now my question: Since I followed the endgame tree I have decisions to make. Cut corners in the skill tree and sneak in the first cluster or fill up the basic skill tree and then start working on levels for the clusters?

Hey. I went with Mistress of Sacrifice. Fun, a lot of movement speed, but a lot more active as well. You need to remember to cast you Flesh Offering every 8 seconds. You could go into 2 ghastly eye jewels for more damage, or Unnatural Strenght.

Hey. Small Cluster with Enduring Composure. Some players are going with Malevolence fore more upfront DPS. You could try it out. Temp chains also slows enemies a bit, so it's a bit of a defensive tool as well.

Hey. You can skip it. It's mostly for newbies that like to tank anything and don't yet have the full setup with the 2 expensive clusters. From what I've noticed, packs of Minotaurs seem to be the deadliest when clicking Altars. Wrath of the Cosmos is gonna shred your defenses so engage with a bit of care after taking dangerous Altars. Should be fine without it. Good luck!

Hey! Nice build but i have one question. I am level 90 and from what I saw in the tree, I will be missing passive points to complete the two Large Cluster Jewel trees. What am I doing wrong?

Hey. Probably nothing. If you want to complete the large trees you need to drop a bit of life and defenses. I am lvl 98 and I have completed mine but they are with 9 and 10 Passives. You can get away with a single cluster, but if we add 2, you can add the extra reservation for the Blasphemy setup.

@@robertjag167 This is a tanky build, but not sure if hardcore friendly. Maybe if you don't run Wrath of the Cosmos or Essences in tier 16 maps. Recovery a bit low. Remove Infernal Legion + Skitterbots and add Vitality with Divine Ire, and summon spiders like that. Defenses are sort of conditional. Molten shell, Endurance Charges on hit, Flask up to be at 50k armour. Not sure to be honest, but maybe it works if you have the currency to make it.

Hey. Around 11% more damage according to PoB. 1.5 Mil extra DPS with Punishment, Vaal Haste and Temporal Chains active, or around 800k extra DPS with those 3 disabled. You're gonna need to recoup reservation, since even with a 19% reservation and 27% quality Ashes we are at -4% reservation. Also you're gonna have to fix your chaos resistance, since we are not at 75% anymore, we are at around 65%. Is it worth it? I Don't think so to be honest, but it's up to you. Good luck!

Hey. The build works well with most farming strategies. Regarding Expeditions, it should have explosions, but the enemies need to be cursed for the explosions to take place (Profane Bloom). Try to remove Unbound Ailments and go for Divergent Melee Splash and even if the Expedition mobs are immune to curses, you're still gonna clear well. Nice! I have around 23mil dps (against guardians/pinnacle bosses, otherwise 31mil), 60k armor + capped spellblock + aegis, full ailment immune, but my budget is quite substantially higher than 30div, closing in on 90div and no mageblood, so yours is very good for the price. **A few questions/notes**: Mistress of sacrifice is great if you have 100% uptime on flesh offering, but a) it only really affects the player and b) I think doing CwC flesh offering with cyclone makes absolutely no sense without Stampede to counteract the movement speed penalty, and that is the only reasonable way to keep flesh offering up absolutely all the time. It also only gives 15% MS, which isn't great compared to flesh/flame to either commander of darkness (30% all res AND 10% more damage AND your shield charge becomes INSANELY QUICK) or, even better, Unnatural Strength, which provides your minions *permanent* unholy might, which is 25% more dps against everything, including bosses, and it saves you a point from the "25% chance to get unholy might on kill" mastery. You could even go for Mindless Aggression, but it really only provides 8% more damage and some minion movespeed, so not as good as the others (but maybe a cheaper option). Using a flask to counteract ele weak is fine... but why even do this? You could get a couple points on the tree (chaos res + reduced effect of curses, 3 points total), which gives you both 30% chaos res and 30% reduced curse effect on you, then instead roll this flask for reduced effect of curses? The outcome is exactly the same for Ele Weak, but you'll also be stronger against Enfeeble (only affects profane bloom AFAIK), Vulnerability (especially bad because of bleeds in case someone isn't immune) and Temp Chains (not comfortable but not deadly). Just a detail, but I am blown away that your darkness enthroned isn't over 95%. Personally I'm getting 16% more damage total from my 2 ghastly eye jewels in my belt, and I think I paid around 60-80c for a 97% effect version. Absolute no brainer purchase considering how strong jewels are on this build, but I'm guessing you just hadn't gotten around to it. Again probably just an oversight, but your increased duration is doing nothing for flame dash except increasing mana cost, so probably unlink it? The infernal legion skitterbots tech is really cool, honestly a genius idea. I really like that, I might find a way to fit it in my own build. Arakaali's is a great build because outside of a few core uniques (obviously fang, also helmet is BiS no matter what, I would argue Amanamu's as well) you can make the build a lot of different ways and it will still work well. I spoke to a guy who has been rushing this build for Simulacrums early league for the last 6 leagues, and he was using Asenath's Gentle Touch with Despair implicit and saving 30% mana that way, and because asenath's explosion counts as your own, it still procs profane bloom + spiders. Just goes to show you the possibilities here. Either way, great video, learned a lot, keep it up.

Hey. 1) If you use Stampede your movement speed is gonna be 150% at all times, so buffs to mpseed don't matter at that point. I don't mind that every 8 seconds I have to redo my CWC spinny, because when I'm mapping I'm also using Niko nodes. And I end up at at 275 MS without Vaal Haste and I usually also use that on cooldown. So I'm close to 300% movement speed most of the time. This league I added Quilver of the Cheetah and Mistress of Sacrifice and I notice that I am clearing maps 30 seconds faster at least. I'd say it's worth it, but go with whatever Flame/Flesh combo you want. Also regarding the poin for 25% chance for Unholy Might, a lot of people on reddit we're saying that it doesn't work. They don't gain it on kill (bugs specific with spiders), so if you want Unholy Might, the Unnatural Strenght seems to be the only option for spiders. 2) That flask is general tech that I use on each char, but yes, you option seems to be better. Thanks! 3) Ran out of currency when making the build 😁. Was paying people in Exalts and Gifs to the Goddess. Will upg the Darkness later. 4) Yup. Flame Dash oversight, but it doesn't matter. It's 19 mana vs 14 mana. We have 43 left. Swapped the Tempest shield in the Aegis, and placed the Flame dash in the unset ring. Thanks! 5) Thanks! Infernal is really good, but you need Gravebind. If you don't mind using these gloves, the gameplay is a lot better like this. I really like these gloves, since they also give chaos res, and life on kill. Good things to have. Will try out Asenath for Legion farming this league. Explosions are good, but I need to bump them up a bit before I make a strat with Legions. Probably gonna be something that I do for 100 maps since I don't like the Divine Ire summoning set up. Great talk. Good luck!

​ @Jason Chan I thought I had already replied to you but I guess it bugged out and didn't post my last answer. Squire is usually the endgame choice for this build, but you are substantially less tanky with it equipped, although it will drastically, massively increase your DPS. A lot of Dan's guides make use of "snapshotting", where you have a weapon swap with Arakaali+Squire, summon spiders, then weapon swap back to Aegis so that the minions have lots of damage and you're still very tanky. You basically just need to choose which one you prefer, but without weapon swapping you will be quite a bit less tanky in this version of the build with Squire. I would recommend looking at Ben's profile: he's using Squire but he's also a champion + Xibaqua timeless jewel + Fourth Vow + spell suppress, so he has huge tankiness and good DPS. Ashes is not a great choice, I think: The build only benefits from the mana reservation efficiency, and at that point Impresence or Aul's is a better choice because it makes an entire aura/curse free to reserve. As for upgrades: - On top of Tempest+Determination, I'm running Malevolence (lots more DPS), Vitality, Purity of Elements, and Defiance Banner. The mana reservation is tricky in this build but these go a long way in both DPS and defence, and I recommend wherever you can to throw in Lifetap so you don't need to worry about deleting your very strained mana bar. - Double bone rings with Minion MS, Minion Attack Speed, and minion damage. These add a ton of damage and QoL with minion MS. - Rare boots with 35% MS and not running Punishment (no need for extra curse from Windscream in this case). These also give more armour/ES, and I get some eldritch implicits. - 2 12 Passive minion clusters with 3% Attack/Cast speed and 35% effect, with ideally no notables or optionally Renewal/Vicious Bite, which are both acceptable. He uses 11 passive ones here. - Lots of very good abyss jewels! These are a huge source of damage. Removing a single jewel from my build is approx. 10% less damage, so very important. Flat life, minion damage when using minion skill recently, minion attack/cast speed, and flat chaos/physical damage, optionally also minion MS if you can't get good 4 mod ones. - Forbidden Flame/Flesh for Unnatural Strength is a massive DPS upgrade and works on bosses (unlike the mastery, which is only on minions getting a kill). Optionally Commander of Darkness is very good too, less damage but it gives you 30% all res if you need that. You can also do Mistress of Sacrifice (more MS for you) or Mindless Aggression (DPS). - Awakened Multistrike, definitely worth the price even at 20div - Divergent withering touch, allows you to apply your max wither stacks faster, even on smaller enemies - 5% brass dome + Soul of Steel + armour mastery gives me 83/87/82 res, so very strong against ele damage. - If possible, try to enchant your belt with wither enchant, which reduces enemy chaos res even further when they're withered. Hey. In the belt I'm using 2 Ghastly Eye Jewels with total to all elemental resistances, minions deal 15-20% increased damage if you've used a minion skill recently (we use Convocation). If you have enough currency a good third mod would be minions deal additional xx to xx physical/chaos damage. All of my Auras are on my secondary hotbar. We're using 6 auras, but you can only fit in 5. When your character dies, you need to manually click and select that 6th aura that's missing. Good luck!

Hey. Every eight seconds to keep Flesh Offering up. Feels a bit weird for the first 1-2 hours, but once you get adjusted to the playstyle, it's nice. After playing this build for a lot of leagues, I can assure you that is feels a lot faster this time. I am already finishing maps 30 seconds faster on average. It's a minion build after all... Have you seen what's around? It's a lot better than most things that you're gonna find on youtube, but still a minion build. Good luck!

Hey. For Offerings to affect you as well, you need the Forbidden Flame/Flesh Mistress of Sacrifice Jewels. Without those two the Offering will only affect your minions.

@@lyquochuy Hey. Unbound Ailments is more damage in PoB, but poisons take longer to reach full dps. It's not gonna be up most of the time when mapping, except vs tanky rares or vs map bosses. I did recommend it because newer players usually cut corners and if they don't use it, they're gonna have low dps. You can go for Minion Damage if you want to, it's just slightly lower dps, but you reach max dps faster. But if you have enough dps, you can use Divergent Melee Splash which is amazing when mapping. Try it out once you 2 big clusters with 3% inc attack and cast speed, and 35% inc effect // and also Amanamu's Gaze. Good luck!

Hey mate, I'm trying to go a little bit deeper into this build, and Im up to trying to execute mana reservation properly, I noticed at 3:05 ish youre not even using determination and dropped it for Tempest shield? Why is that? I can run Skitter, Punishment, Temporal Chains, Despair and then the option of either Determination or Tempest Shield. Can you explain what I need to do for the best result. i just was going through this dilemma. determination i believe is used if you do not have brass dome. if you have brass dome and spec into more armour, you then use tempest shield :) because there is absolutely no way to fit all of it in. i tried lol

i've followed the previous guide about PoB settings, probably the damage difference is due to cluster jewel. anyways, is Punishment better than Vulnerability or in your case Flammability (since you have Raze and Pillage cluster). @@marlongarado5051 Oh. The Raze and Pillage doesn't matter. We are only scaling physical and poison damage. You can tick it in PoB and see that it barely does anything. Your clusters need to have 3% inc attack and cast speed, 35% inc effect to bump up to 4%. If you for example have 3% with 25% inc effect, you won't reach 4%. Seems that for clusters it works increments of 1%, so you need that extra 35% to reach 4%. Maybe that's why. Also Divergent Multi, Awakened Unbound Ailments.

Hi Sir, Today I tried to try to change things on my POB, and it was proven that aside from the Alternate Quality Gems, it's the difference between the cluster jewels that gave us a 6m dps gap. (I'm using a Generic Large Cluster (8) w/ Call of Slaughter and Feasting Fiends and no other mods on small passives) I just got my own cluster jewel and my POB says I'm now sitting at 15m Pinnacle DPS. Thanks to your guide! I'm still undecided if I'm going for Mistress of Sacrifice, Unnatural Strength or Commander of Darkness. Planning to farm uber Sirus a few weeks before the league ends. Hey. You can run any mod, but I would avoid these if you don't wanna die too much: 1) Cannot regen 2) Reduced effect of non curse auras 3) - Maximum resistances 4) Reduced chance to block/reduced armour 5) Phys as chaos / wither on hit 6) Phys as extra is ok 1 mod, but 2 is a bit too much This applies to all farming strategies with the exception of Legions. Since Legions are tanky and they are on a timer, you're not gonna focus on avoiding the mods mentioned above, instead you're gonna avoid the tanky mods (maximum life, reduced effect of curses, chaos resistance, hexproof) and that's because we need to clear them really fast. You're gonna die a bit more though because of that. I would not play this build a Legion farmer. Works well for 50-100 maps per league, but if you wanna run hundreds and hundreds of maps at league start to farm your Mageblood for example, then go for a different build.

Hey. You need Gravebind and you also need to level up your Skitterbots a bit. A viewer in the previous league was wearing an item that didn't allow the Skitterbots to do damage. Can't remember what it was. Use just Gravebind plus de Infernal Legion + Skitter bots combo on your char and you're gonna notice that it works. After that, try to figure out which item is not allowing the Skitterbots to kill the worms. Good luck!

Hey. This version is more of a mapper than a Bosses. Can do regular non Uber Bosses, but it's gonna struggle vs Ubers. You need a Necro with spell suppression and full crafted rare gear and Squire to complete Ubers. Look a bit on poe.ninja I will defeat all Ubers after I farm my Mageblood, but that's because I'll have my Quicksilver Flask up all the time and I'm gonna dodge a lot. You would be better served by 50-100 Divines and going for a Necro with full spell supp. Good luck!

Hey. It works better, but I'll have to see if I can recommend it. Tried it out right now and it feels amazing with the double cluster setup, however, a lot of newer players are going for this build. For reference whenever someone asks me for a bit of help after I make a vid with 15 mil PoB DPS usually, the PoBs that I take a look at have 5-7 mil dps (with Unbound Ailments), so with Melee Splash they're at 2-4 mil dps. I've played the 7 mil Unbound version and it feels good enough for tier 16 maps. Not sure how the 2-4 mil Div Melee Splash will feel.

Check out the Reservation part of the video. Forgot to mention you need to Annoint Charisma. If you have Charisma and you still don't have enough mana, then spec in to the Mastery that gives you 12% mana reservation efficiency of skills. It's just one point from the Mystic Bulwark Cluster (top of the tree).
