I've seen a few people asking for a warden version of this, so this is what we've come up with pobb.in/jvp-twNK-9na I don't see it being league startable but it looks like so much fun maybe I do it as a 2nd build 😄 It also doesn't have the unbound more elemental turned on.

In your POB you want to set your vitality to level 19 so you have 2400 Unreserved Life but only 2390 life recoverable. This will allow you to to basically have slayer overleech so your leech is not removed even if at "full" life.

In ssf ruthless did a poison assassin tornado when this gem first came out. 10/10 fun. Drop 3 tornadoes 🌪️ and a decoy totem when appropriate and easy peazy.

i was going to league start as turbulence tornado but then i made a melee ignite build with the tinctures and will be playing that instead. both the builds are using warden so i can always change if things don't pan out and hopefully respecing is a reasonable amount of gold.

Having played this skill last league as Energy Blade inquisitor all the way into T17s (Was too lazy to swap to tri-stack for like a whole week) the skill has a lot of small problems. The fact that it's essentially a minion with a dumb AI can cause annoying situations, the 3 tornado limit also feels weird to play around, you're kinda forced to use a supplementary ability. They also feel quite slow even with 20% quality. I can't comment on the damage as that would be more reflective on Energy Blade than on Tornado. Also the visibility is horrible with any AoE scaling, (even without), the Tornado's are infinitely tall so it's 3 fat cylinders covering the entire centre of your screen, get used to not being able to see...

The overall best way to build it is likely either Dialla's or Crest of Desire. Frontloading tons of quality make them quite fast actually and the playstyle ends up being a lot more comfortable as the Tornados tend to intercept things before you can get to them unless you teleport into them.

@@Arcticun My main problem was the lack of consistency and not feeling in control, sometimes they clean up every monster, sometimes they get stuck or stupid. Sure if you scale quality they will fly faster, but I don't think they'd feel good even with 40% quality.

@@AdulAhmad68 I played it as an elementalist so I had more than enough area to not really notice stragglers, and it definitely felt good at 68% quality, as Crest of Desire can have up to 50% qual + 20% on gem.

@@Arcticun Not bad I guess, though it still has the other issues to where I'm not gonna touch this skill again, it wasn't a horrible experience and the damage was honestly great compared to a lot of other skills, but the clunkyness + the visual horror was enough to experience once lol.

Play on manastack hiero last league and it was good till t17 and i got bored so didn't know what in min max inqui seems much easy to start but less potential in aoe. Nice vid anyway subscribed 👍

I just found out about this skill (ToeT) and I've been looking into a bit, but I wanted to play it with traps, would it be viable to do so? My thoughts were playing it as Assassin power charge stacking, however I do not know the mechanics well since I've only ever played Tornado Shot or ED/Contagion. Any tips?

When are you feeling squishy? when you switch over to petrified blood early it can feel squishy

@@Velyna not "switched" yet had a rough leaguestart - played lacerate bleed - what was rly a struggle for me - feelt bad dmg and hated the playstyle rerolled tornado - but to my shame - used the mathil "leaguestart" one - found yours after i reached maps mathil builds/"guides are most quite low info + i dont like the 1000 buttons you have to use XD so i guess it try to grab some money -and switch to your variant - not so easy - this necros keep the body armour price up XD i know - you have some "starter" gear etc. but i rly dont wanna go from leaguestartgear -> rerollleaguestartgear-> switch into "startergear"

It's very very very squishy, i had made some minor adjustments and gotten it to same dps with 50k EHP at level 78, playing it in hardcore

You end the video saying we want the one spell block notable on the vanity, but if i understand pob correctly, that gives us 5% spell block, and we're overcapped by 9%... So that node only gives us the increased defences from the shield?

I'm over by 9% because if I lose the 5% from the node than I'm actually undercap by 1% due to glancing blows lol

I watched Ziggy D play around with Tornado a while back looks fun but i duno if it does enough AOE damage with tons of mobs or like ya said will be good vs bosses cause of auto target

Yep, but it's better to farm merciless lab for it since you get more options therefore a greater chance in turning a non trans gem into the trans version.

Theres another varient of this build from kr that pretty much reach 30m dips with like 90k hit point when the gem came out... So yeah it can be pretty tanky.

This was my 2nd build of the league, invested roughly 70 divine into it and it is really bad for the amount of currency u slap into this. even with a lvl 30 tornado I was not able to get a somewhat comparable damage to other builds and map clear speeds. and the constant mana issue when u spew out more tornados because they go into a diff. direction than u need them makes u go crazy. it was fun for a couple hours but thats it.

I've been changing and updating the pob for this build over the last week. I don't think I've spent anywhere near the amount you have and I'm having a great time. I didn't experience any mana issues at all until I recently took out inspiration but it was a ez fix.

No regen, no leech, ele reflect (well it can be done but you need to get the pantheon and either wear Sibyl's Lament), reduced block. I mean - max isn't that great either it's very rippy but you can do it.

Warden will probably renew some interest for trinity builds, but, if I understand well how the ascendancy works, you'll have to be fast on inflicting ailments, and you'll get a big scale by inflicting several ailments at once. I don't think Tornado will meet this requirement (since Tornado, like hydrosphere, gets full elem convert of one kind, not the others). But elem hit+barrage support+chain+sacred wisps could be very strong there :) (but this build needs to activite wand nodes, and they are far from warden skilltree starting point, that's a cons).

The only benefit you get from warden is the 20 spell suppress and the tincture which would be pointless on this skill. 8% pen and 20 spell suppress doesn't seem worth it to me.

Small note but isnt crit dmg reduction 'reduced' not 'less' and as such is additive, therefore not making you crit immune?

It is additive up to 100% which is immunity, you'll still get crit but you won't take any extra damage.

I wouldn't call this "easy gear" or "very little gear" . 11 uniques this rare is beyond anything my poor ass has ever achieved in a league!. Maybe I misconstrued those terms as "budget".

They're are no uniques on the league start pob. Unless someone makes Aegis meta it's pretty cheap Dialla's is pretty common. The hardest is spending time getting the colours. Crown is also a cheap unique, the corrupt can bring up the price for sure but you don't need it. Circle of Guilt - no one has ever cared about a circle of guilt... Bottled Faith isn't needed to end content Progen is definitely not needed Fobidden Flesh Flame I talked about in the video as not necessary. Watchers eye - ok the vitality mod is like really really good but it costs 70c to 150 I saw when I looked at offline prices. The vanity is ok an important one but again even with the notables you want, offline people 70c to 1D Stormshroud probably a few D I used none of these items for my 4 watchstones. If you want to push top end content you might have to invest into things like your wand but I mean you should anyway?

Love tornado, and the build seems very solid, but lab-only gem doesn't match league starter needs, imo :). Tornado is hardly ever played as a main spell, and I think it's very cool to change things and show it can be mained (just like Void Sphere, in its lab form). I will surely start with an Elemental Hit Warden (to test the new ascendancy, but avoiding the crowd who will massively try Lightning Strike builds with it :) ) but then try your build as a second character. It seems definitively fun to play. GG.

Getting the gems is usually really easy to farm at league start.

@@snatcher81 Well... I know a normal lab is about 5-10 minutes to complete (or even less as you level up), but at this point, it's one of the most boring part the game to farm, imo (and I play SSF). Sometimes, I wait till lvl 50 or 60 to start lab, just because I hate this part. Last league, I wanted to get lab variant of Void Sphere (I've got a lovable build around this, even not really meta), but I gave up after 12-15 tries. I'm really fed up with lab ! And, well, OK, lab is easy to farm. But, depending on the build I start and what time I give to the new mechanics, I can go through the 10 acts in about 8 to 12 hours. Don't really want to farm something before endgame. This league, I will play normal, not SSF, because I want to try the new trading system, so that I eventually will pay chaos for my lab gems.

So I play trade and getting trans tornado is probably going to be super ez, but i was curious how long it would take me in SSF to get it, so I some practice this week and it took about 5hrs to get the turn non trans gem into trans version in merc lab. I imagine though I'll buy it for 1c lol
