This is my 3rd quad I have built. I built a x210 with video system and a qx100.

Fantastic video series, my friend. I already knew most of what you showed, but of course not all. To tell the true, I don't intend to make a quad right now, I still don't have the equipment required. Radio control I bought but didn't arrived yet and still need to buy batteries, charger, small receivers and so on. But until June next year I should have made something already. :) About the frame you used, one of the motors I want to try should fit there. The other no way, it's too big. LOL - But looks like a fantastic frame anyway!

Just trying to learn this stuff, your Vids are very informative! Thanks! Do you have a vid that shows how would connect LEDs to this board.? I still find them helpful for orientation.

No need to calibrate motors as in brushless builds? Is it always safe to use USB and lipo power at the same time? Thanks for your videos.
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
The calibration is so that the ESC 'learns' what the flight controller output range is. As there is no ESCs in a brushed build you don't need that step. :D

+rcwck if the model is using 5v on the flight controller then it should be ok..

Now I understand what's going on. 😂 your my savior! I am using clean flight. Is changing to brushed motors an option or do I need to erase the board and try Betaflight? Thank you! Best tutorial vids!!
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure that CF has that feature in it..
@Politicallyhomeless9577 жыл бұрын
Painless360 and beta-flight does not support naze. Or am I wrong? Thanks for the reply. I have the quad working but with baseflight. It does not want to fly right now. It's like the gyro is crap or something. Lol just flips instead of taking off.
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
Check the release notes in the Betaflight pages for that detail.. Best of luck!

Painless360 thanks again love your channel. I ended up getting on Betaflight and flashing my naze and I can already tell a huge difference. I think I just had to update my drivers and then I was all good. Beta flight is awesome!
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
What drivers did you have to change?

I'm just setting up two brushed quads using Betaflight 1.8.4 for the first time and I don't have Failsafe on the left menu so I can't set the failsafe, any ideas why it isn't there Painless?
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
+patrickcol turn on 'advanced' in rhe top right corner to get the extra tabs.. best of luck!
@patrickcol7 жыл бұрын
Doh! Well who would have guessed you need to be advanced to set a Failsafe! Merry Christmas Painless and thank you.

Can anyone tell me where to get those black props?
@coogarc6707 жыл бұрын
We're can I buy the black props from ? i can only find red and blue

Do the props for this fit on the QX 90??
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
I suspect that will be too much prop for the smaller motors..

I have a Spektum DX6 and a f3 brushed FC i have moved all my travel points all the way up and on all channels it will go from 984 or so to 1850 i have the min point at 1000 and center at 1500 and max at 2000 i cant get any channel to go any futher than 1850 when i move the sticks down they go to 1000 and when i let go they will go to 1500 but max on all will not go any more than 1850 so the copter will yaw, pitch ,roll faster one way than the other i have two boards and they both doing the same do you have any ideas
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
Yep, increase the endpoints in your radio. Best of luck!
@jeffd90737 жыл бұрын
Painless360 I have changed my travel points as far as they would go that's how I got my minimum to go down below 1080 birthday Max still will only go to 1850 from what I understand the Spectrum in points are move by the travel settings unless I can't find something else I guess I'm just SOL it will roll and yaw and pitch faster and further than one way then the other I can deal with the throttle in the aux1 and aux2 being like that but they all pitch and roll it's tough to fly when will move further one way then the other
@jeffd90737 жыл бұрын
and I have tried calibration the sticks to see if that would help and that wouldn't help either I'm just wondering if there's something in the settings that I need to do through the CLI to make it go further
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
Not sure, the endpoints are normally the only way (once calibrated on the radio) to extend the travel...

Any idea how I can flash the latest version under Betaflight ? When I type version under the CLI I get the following message: # Cleanflight/SPRACINGF3EVO 1.13.0 Sep 5 2016 / 00:40:11 (0fa6619) When I try to flash it under Cleanflight, it does not work: no response from the bootloader. Programing: failed Do I need to short something ?
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
+Julien Tabulazero possibly, see if there are boot loader pins or button.. best of luck!
@julientabulazero1037 жыл бұрын
Actually, my google fu has given me the answer. On this board, you need to solder the two boot pads marked "V".
@aarem017 жыл бұрын
Why not ibus? Then no subtrim is needed.
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
+Robby Race you could. Using subs makes it useful for more viewers using non flysky radios ;)

I have an eachine AIO f3 board. It's my 3rd. I changed the settings from 8k2k to 8k4k. It deleted my receiver info. I flashed the board with the highest/ newest firmware. It now shows my receiver. When I plug in the battery 3 motors spin and there is no response from any inputs. It shows inputs in betaflight still. Not sure what is wrong.

+Joseph Cuevas have you armed the board? How much experience building have you got?
@MrCUEVAS307 жыл бұрын
Painless360. This is my 3rd build. For some reason these boards do the same thing. The motors spin when powered and won't stop. I have no problems with any other board I have used. This is the 3rd one banggood has sent.
@MrCUEVAS307 жыл бұрын
Painless360. It doesn't do anything when it's armed. The motors spin at consistent speeds.
@Painless3607 жыл бұрын
+Joseph Cuevas sounds odd, I've not seen that. Maybe try an older version of the firmware? Best of luck with it
@MrCUEVAS307 жыл бұрын
Painless360 I just figured it out. I had the motor configured as pwm instead of brushed. I thank you for your prompt responses.
