I looked at their website as well, and you are right; you can't tell if the inside screws are the same, but all the external screws look precisely the same. I vote that being used. Someone buggered up those screws making adjustments-poor design.

These guys had something to do with Fobus back in the day. I recall someone saying that they were intended to be used with an Italian revolver or something similar that is more common in Europe or the Middle East. Honestly, I'd trust Fobus over these guys.

Yea someone fiddled with it not knowing what they were doing. But you can easily replace those screws and Dremel that spot inside making it safe for the gun's finish in minutes. IF the shape is a bit off and you intend to never use it anyways try letting it warm up in the oven on low temp and then insert pistol and reform some of the proportions. Even if it takes a few times it's still an improvement. The paddle can be reshaped coming out of the oven as well. There is video on this process for holsters that are a bit out of spec for pistols and a trip through the oven makes a world of difference.

Definitely not your fault . Anytime someone borrows something like a holster from a friend should be responsible enough to try out borrowed gear before heading to the range . It is very unfortunate and I feel bad for your friend nevertheless.

I checked their website. The few holsters I looked at only had options for 'generic' 357 revolver models

Yeah, those screws don't look right to me, either. The paddle definitely looks like Fobus and the holster itself looks like an old Helweg design, if you're familiar with that name/their products, but who knows?

I have looked at a few carry comps new and they both had scratches on them. I think the finish is not that good on them. Also, I found this holster online. It had the same screws as the one you have.
