Such great tips! The flip upside and steam tip also works fantastically for giving back some fluff to a lolita petticoat that has deflated

Never gonna get over how expressive and friendly you are in your videos. You're a huge inspiration to me and I hope one day I might be able to meet you! You're awesome :D Also it's a shame I didn't know about that flower trick a couple months ago, I was cosplaying a character with flowers in his hair but couldn't get the flowers to stay, it was a nightmare lol. This will help so much in the future!!

I forgot that some clothing steamers looked like that for a good minute and was halfway to freaking out abt you waving an iron next to a wig even as a demonstration
@cortalina86173 жыл бұрын
Oh shit I thought it was an iron I was fully gonna wave an iron about around a wig
@FairyArmour3 жыл бұрын
@@cortalina8617I'm glad I said smtg then!! Irons get way way too hot even for heat resistant wigs. You don't see the steamer head for v long but if u pause it just right, the handle is in there wrong place for it to be an iron
@cortalina86173 жыл бұрын
@@FairyArmour yeah I've never seen a steamer in my life. Thanks for saying something!
@baralinni793 жыл бұрын
I curled my Merida wig using steam from a pot of boiling water, since I don't have a steamer. It worked really well, you just gotta be careful so the hot water doesn't splash onto you! And I got to instanly cook noodles and eggs when I was done, so I'm counting that as a bonus ;)

You could also probably use the stem of the flowers instead of skewers! Or even paint the skewers to match the hair

A more invisible way to attach flowers to hair is to glue them to a small spring, spray the spring with hairspray and, before the spray dries, corkscrew it into the hair. This works for most hairstyles except straight and fine.

I’m not sure how relevant this is but if your someone who prefers to make/sew their own cosplays a good way to get cheap fabric is to get old bed sheets from second hand shops, your not guaranteed to get the exact colour or texture you need but it’s cheap, better for the environment and great for simple colours like white ext.. along a similar line if you don’t want to make your final cosplay out of reclaimed fabric you could still use old bedding and other bits of fabric for mock ups of your pattern to make sure it fits.
