Thanks for the design tips. The wall paper looks great on the ceiling. Curly willow trees are so easy to propagate. Just cut a branch off and stick it into some potting soil until the roots begin. Doesn't take long at all. The trees grow very fast. I had a flower arrangement sent to me with some of the curly willow in it, like you did with your flowers. I noticed after awhile leaf buds starting to appear on the dried branch. Now just a few years later I have a 15 foot beautiful tree. Blessings.

We installed some pretty awesome old world baseboards by cutting 1 tongue & groove edge off of 7" tongue & groove pine boards we found used. We used the faux brick in our kitchen as the backsplash and above the cabinets. I put a "German Schmear " technique over it by mixing drywall paste and an off white paint I had. Then I sealed it with water based Poly Crylic. Everyone thinks its "Z" brick! I get so many compliments and it was cost effective but looks old.

To be safe everyone should use gloves when removing wood trim, etc., and a ladder that is high enough in order that you're not working with your arms stretched too far up over your head. And take a piece of card board box or a thin piece of wood to slip between the back of the crow bar and the wall. Your project looks like it will be absolutely wonderful. Nice video.

I laughed at that, Who would use Velcro as trim. The house we use to live in, had a basement that was not only trimmed in "Velcro", but all the walls were done in vertical wide plank ruff sided cedar, the hall, and the family room, and down the stairs. I may have looked fine in the late 70's when that house was built, but not my thing. Very durable with two boys that loved playing hockey downstairs, when they weren't playing at the ice rink. Mini hockey sticks hitting the walls did no damage. And I did pull out many slivers from little fingers. I don't miss it at all.

I’ve used these 4x8 faux brick panels too. I lightly coated them all over, after install, with watered-down mortar, then did the German “shmere” over them. I also cut out “bricks’ and staggered them at install. Looks more realistic. People can’t tell it’s not brick, even when they feel of it. Can’t wait to see the final look!

We used mdf baseboard in my daughters home. Every time they moved furniture they hit the baseboard which popped off chunks from the profile. Also, near the doors water caused it to swell. In the bathroom munchkins had so much fun splashing that it swelled there as well. The end result was that we took out all the MDF. It just simply didn’t hold up the test of time. Instead we use either a plastic or a foam extruded baseboard in all wet areas. It’s paintable, isn’t susceptible to water damage, And you can’t tell once it’s painted that it’s not wood. I love all your tips and I found the wallpaper with different patterns to be a wonderful tool in decorating. Love watching your channel and all the fun things that you do I wanted to share my experiences with MDF blessings to you all
