I'm almost 50 years old and I was like the young lady in this video. Always giving and being nice and would get tooken advantage of. I never knew that people treated Kindness like sex. I didn't know that people had to "earn" it. But looking back, when I gave it freely most people didn't respect it.
@latoyaamb3r6 ай бұрын
Kindness is a fruit of the spirit. We are to love each other like we love ourselves and to be kind to others regardless of whether they respect it or deserve. It’s not for them but to please God. We should have boundaries of course but also grace and forgiveness. I think we often lose sight of who and what we do it for.

If someone keeps giving you don’t have to take. Love is seeing that the person isn’t aware that they could be taken advantage of through continually giving and then helping them see that they can have boundaries with you and others. Protect them and show them that they can treat themselves well and with respect until they can do it on their own. Then you love the person they become if it’s healthy for you.
