I want to use the top path, but maybe try something with Striker Jones and a tower that greatly benefits from more pierce besides the example in this video, maybe combo them with a Perma Spike, since the spikes become very potent with pierce buffs.

A strategy i like to use now that mermonkey is in the base game is getting a x-x-4 mermonkey and putting the totem on top of the top path mermonkey so all the tentacles can deal damage to a singular balloon multiple times

240 mermonkey is stronger on it's own, but the big added range you get from 042 mermonkey times 5 is probably stronger. At least that's what I felt using it.

For the first strategy, is there any benefit to buying a 202 as opposed to a 201, other than the slightly increased range? If you're only using one mermonkey, I don't see why buying the second bottom path upgrade is worth it since it just slightly increases range

I'm not sure. I just got it to more easily fit everything inside its range because I think that's what it buffs (like the village). But I didn't do too much testing with it so I might be wrong.

I was hoping the the Lord of the Abyss was a deadly tower with up to par with Sun Avatars or hell, even M.A.D.s but nahhh, its only a buffer. Popsidon was a bit underwhelming in the later stages of the game. It needs buffs from other towers to be highly effective and it cant take down a BAD. The only true star of the Mermonkeys is the Final Harmonics because the distraction is completely another level.

@@Hbombso update, brickel seems stuck at round 38 on resort HOWEVER if he was at level 9 instead of 8. He easily crushes the remaining rounds… so definitely possible with monkey knowledge… and might be possible on another map like logs Edit: so logs seems to be a struggle but notably according to free play even a level 8 brickell can handle round 39 and 40 so maybe with better positioning, targeting, and ability timing, could save enough lives to tank the 38 leak to do it without monkey knowledge
