The UK sports media seem to conveniently overlook the huge physical advantages enjoyed by Fury. Three and a half stones in weight, seven inches in height and eight inches in reach! Fury and Usyk are not really in the same weight division and yet still Usyk won. Twice! Well done Oleksander.

I think the vast majority of people have Usyk winning both fights by a wide margin. It’s only the biased British media that are saying it was razor close and Fury should have won. Fury was the challenger this time and he needed to take the fight to Usyk and take the belts. He didn’t do that, so if you have swing rounds they would lean in favour of the champion. Fury also had all the advantages in this fight, in height, 4 stone weight advantage, reach advantage and even nearly 2 years in age. He had his shorts pulled up to his nipples and he still couldn’t defeat the much smaller man. The punch stats show that Usyk landed more punches and was far more accurate. The judges had it unanimously in favour of Usyk and so did the A.I bot. If these facts were in Fury’s favour the media wouldn’t shut up about it. It’s ugly and disgraceful.

Regarding Tysons legacy, I feel as though it's more tarnished by who he hasn't fought as apposed to who he has. Going 24 good rounds and coming up short against the clear best fighter of this generation in Usyk is much less of an embarrassment than defending your world championship belt against the likes of Chisora when tougher, more deserving opponents were out there. 25:58 Still an asterisk with the Dubois fight? Mate, do me a favour... FFS you lot just cant get over the fact that Dubois won 1 rnd. The ref called it low and the rules were followed for up to 5 minutes to recover. Usyk ended it with a Jab TKO.... Asterisk, piss off. All seriousness, Dubois really only kind of won 1 round. And did get TKOd. Not really questionable at this point. But, his last few fights have been wildly different. I just dont think Parker is going to be as easy as some have made it out to be. I get why people can't get over it. Never seen Usyk hurt so bad, it wasn't an act. Yes it was an illegal blow but the punch didn't actually hit him in the balls it was to the body. Had Usyk shaking in fear close to his hometown. And while Usyk won convincingly dubois did better than most expected and still had success in a lot of rounds just not enough to actually win the round
@DeuceMS
@DeuceMS Ай бұрын
@@Dukestboy96 DDD did enough in 1 round to win the round. The Judges gave him 2. But Dubois still got KOd... Yes, he landed some punches but there is no argument for that version of Dubois in that fight. None. The punch still was on an upward motion, you can see it pull up on the shorts, which means the protector, which means balls. Its not hard to put that together. Hitting the pelvic region with the kinda punch Dubois has I bet does hurt. Also, Dubois had already hit Usyk low a few times, very clearly. I guess the ref had enough of it. Good on him, to many refs just verbally warn way to many times before taking action. Also, I expected DDD to do better than that. I though he would be the toughest fight Usyk had (to that point) at HW. Not that night. Maybe in the future.

Yes fury was about 275lbs as he was definitely wearing a heavy leather jacket he had 2 or 3 layers of tops on for a start. He isnt that much heavier than AJ he is 250-260lbs. And fury is normal 260-270lbs and has weighed as low as 253lbs in the second wilder fight and has weighed as low as 245lbs before. But there's between 10-15lbs between fury and AJ. Even Usyk himself has said twice after fighting fury that he is and has been the toughest fight he has had. This fight was a clear usyk win 116-112 and at best 115-113. Either way fury as much of an idiot he is, has showed he is the 2nd best heavyweight we have seen this era. And is dam hard to knockout completely cold he always bloody rises. But he has better footwork, shot selection, movement a better jab than AJ and all except Usyk. And Usyk is a special all time great boxer and that is cemented way beyond doubt.

Just like these geezers most people from the UK give Usyk the credit he deserves even though he's beat three of their best fighters. The fact that Fury is even standing after twelve rounds at 280 lbs is crazy! This was a good fight and he was way more focussed than his previous few. So I agree, his reputation as being a great fighter still stands, even with the loss. Can’t imagine him 30lbs lighter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usyk was the clear winner either 115-113 or 116-112 but it definitely proved that fury is the second best heavyweight of the past 10 years. But Usyk is the best and he is one of the best if not the best I've ever seen as a heavyweight in the second half of a fight those last 6 rounds. Fury is the second best of this era at heavyweight but usyk is a different beast. Well done to Usyk a true class act.

How decently you do against number 1 does not automatically make you number 2, is Oliver McCall right behind Lennox because he knocked him out once? No. Fury big fights outside Usyk are a win vs an aging Wlad & 2 versus Wilder. No fights vs Joshua, Parker, Dubois, Zhang and more. If you were to list the top 10 fighters of this era how many has he beat? 1 maybe if you’re kind to Wilder.

@ojogbaneamedu2501
@ojogbaneamedu2501 Ай бұрын
@ Who said he’s not a highly skilled boxer? I didn’t even deny that he performed the best vs Usyk. The point is just performing the best vs the best doesn’t automatically make you number 2. Ken Norton vs Ali is another example, Ali is considered the GOAT, is Ken Norton 2? Or even top 10? No. Because Norton resume beyond Ali is unimpressive. Tyson Fury certainly has it in him to give Usyk a good fight but matchups make fights, how would he do vs Dubois, Joshua or Parker? Vs Zhang, Bakoli and such, we don’t know.

How do you pick holes in Usyk's record? Cleared out the welterweight division, moved up, cleaned up in the heavyweight division by beating literally the best in that division. Short of fighting every possible contender I struggle to see what else he could do. Fury and AJ, different fish altogether but at least in AJ's favour he didnt do his best to duck everybody.

Some time ago a quiet 18yr kid was beaten to death by a bunch of scummy rats after leaving a quiet family party held in function venue. On the anniversary of this sad event, his obviously still grieving family ask various celebs to simply retweet an appeal as nobody had ever been charged for this cowardly act. The grieving mother received a reply from Tyson Fury, "f#$%off I'm not a grass". He only had to ignore it if he didn'twant to know, after all it was tweet not a summons. That speaks to the class of the man, he has none, and never will have!

Fury is a great boxer, problem is he himself elevated his status to GOATs level, and now he has to pay the price. Worst thing is he could not take a loss like a man, basically talking the same BS as Wilder did when he lost to Fury. This is the reason there is a talk about his legacy, not his skill, rather how he hyped himself up and then could not deal with reality.

For me he beats Oscar Bonavena, Quarry (close fight), Bugner, and likely beats Shaver's and could out box Lyle. Shaver's has that serious punchers chance tho.... Jimmy Young? He'd give Usyk fits and may outland him but Usyk's volume and aggression would probably sway the judges in his favour. Norton? that's another super hard one to call but I would probably favour Ken's high pressure style to see him out muscling Usyk. Foreman? Usyk has an outside chance... but he would probably be stopped on an uppercut or beaten to the body. Frazier? terrible style match up of Usyk, Frazier by KO. Holmes & Ali? both are better, quicker, and harder hitting than Fury with the stamina to go to war for a full 15 rounds. between the two I think Usyk would do better against 70's Ali. He probably loses to both tho.
@hughtube5154
@hughtube5154 Ай бұрын
Frazier could handle Usyk's pace, and his left hook would've emptied Usyk's stamina and agility. Ali could handle Usyk's speed, though the head movement would have caused him trouble as Ali rarely went to the body.
