Great video Emily! 👍👍 I say do it but get the full shell custom ear molds with small vent because the smaller custom earmold won't stay in your ear and aren't as comfortable. Then have your hearing aids adjusted to work with the custom ear molds. When I went back to full shell custom ear molds after 12 years the sound quality was so much better. I got them on my new resound omnia ric hearing aids that I got 1.5 years ago and they sound awesome. So I got full shell custom ear molds on my two older resound hearing aids too. They cost me 200.00 per a set well worth it in my opinion.

Emily, thank you for this useful information. Presently, my Phonak heaing aids utilize domes. The domes always seem to work themselves out of the ear canal. I am scheduled to see my audiologist tomorrow and will definitely ask about custom ear molds.

They can be used with all degrees of hearing loss. They especially help those with moderate, severe and profound losses.
