Just don't forget supplementation as well - collagen hydrolysate and glucosamine to help cartilage by providing building blocks and signals to regenerate, and oral hyaluronic acid for better lubrication. So how did you get to full range of motion? This is my issue. Not sure if pushing to full range of motion through pain is good or bad. PTs tell you all kinds of different things so it seems I have to figure it out myself. One thing is for sure: when I do glute bridges religiously my knees feel better, all things being equal.
Perfect timing. I started a new job where I squat a lot. This will help. Thank you!

I’ve got one for you: whenever I do any split style squat or lunge, I get a sharp, hot pain at the end of my tailbone. It’s debilitating the moment it happens. I even got it once correcting my spine in the middle of a heavy military press. I know it’s impossible to diagnose without seeing me move, but is this something you’ve heard of. I’m an athletic, healthy, 35 year old who’s played sports my whole life (for context). I have some single leg stability issues due to a torn ankle a year ago and plantar fasciitis that I’m trying to strengthen. I’m worried it’s going to get worse over time and I’m hoping I can prevent that. If you request, I can take some videos.

Hi! I love watching your videos and I’ve been using some of your tips to help me squat! A couple days ago a car door closed on my knee (not extremely hard but enough to cause pain) and I thought it was fine because I was able to go to the gym for the next two days after that fine. Today, I was going again because it’s my full body day and after I finished warming up and moved to stand, my knee hurt really bad. I’m not sure if I stood up incorrectly but this has never happened before. After trying to squat I couldn’t because my knee felt extremely stiff and hurt once I sank into the squat. I’ve been making really good progress with my squats and Im worried this will set me back. Do you have any advice on what I can do?

Part of my left meniscus had to be removed because it was completely torn apart and I am starting to feel the same pains before I went to the doctor's for it in my right knee. I am hypermobile, which means as I understand it that my joints are inherently more unstable due to more collagen than usual. I am hence very wary of exercises for knees so would these work for a hypermobile disposition? I had issues with curtsy squats/squats in the past but I don't want to "not" train my legs! They are my favourite part to train 😅

Doc, I've been following u guys for years now, I live in Brazil and just please, read this and give me some light. I've been lifting for 10 years and found out I have FAI on my right side. What can I do? Is there anything? I've been losing hope cuz even after dozens of sessions of physiotherapy, I can barely squat without pain. My healthcare doesn't cover the surgery, just barely covered the physiotherapy sessions, and I don't have the money to do anything else. The last doctor I went to said I still have some cartilage, probably because I have very strong muscles, but my legs r shrinking, and all the dreams I have for bodybuilding r dying.

I'm having a knee issue. when I'm lying down and my leg is in straight position, patellar tendon start to hurt and its start to get inflamed ,skin around the knee is hot on touch. When in bend position when sitting for example there's no issues. Sometimes it also hurt above the knee cap, I assume quad tendon issue as well. When putting force on the knee while standing it also hurts. If anyone has any idea what's wrong with my knee I would appreciate the response. Doing leg exercises is not problematic. Went to 2 orthopedist and they have no idea what's wrong . X-ray was clean as well.

I think there's value in doing deep dives into multiple subjects. However, I also appreciate S. Pressfields dream revelation summed up as "we do not respect dilettantes." If you have an interest, dive into it as far as you need, as long as it isn't completely detracting from your main goal. Yet goals change over time. Check boxes as if they're rungs to a higher level of your own potential. The only true end line is that which arrives in death.
