My advice? Read, read and read. Listen, listen and listen. Talk, talk and talk some more. Reading will increase your vocabulary. Listening will make you familiar with the way English sounds. Talking will improve your ability to exchange information in English.

I agree all you say in this video. I'm italian and since for elementary school, the teachers teachings focus on writing and reading. The Listening and speaking should occupy more hours in the school week. Yes, when I listening, I try to translate in my language but, in this way, I lose listening of the interlocutor. When I don't traslate anything but I listen and I try to comprehend the meaning, I understand 70%-90% of the conversation. Thanks, your english is very very cleary.

Go Natural English - I also made one mistake even I don’t know the exact meaning of words I will TRANSLATE INTO OTHER NATIVE LANGUAGE OR FINDINGS A MEANING OF WORDS IN DICTIONARY 📖 . Actual English words which I hear , is completely DIFFERENT FROM NATIVE SPEAKERS WHICH THEY USE . AND DON’T KNOW THE EXACT MEANING OF THEIR WORDS For Example - Induce , Scrutiny , Repugnant , Reticent , Disconcerted, Impinge, ferocious , Toil , Fetch , seduce , candid , insurmountable, Canton , Dredge , Grudge . 😟😕🤔🤔🧐🧐🧐 So it faced a difficulty to me. While listening these NEW WORDS !! 🤔 . Thanks for clearing my doubts and I like your channel .i hope you will make good videos in Future also to everyone and help them for improving their skills . 😊 😊

Gabby , você fala tão claro e pausado que eu não preciso nem dessas legendas em inglês pra entender o que você está falando . Mas , infelizmente, sei que não é assim no dia a dia . Na verdade , não tenho tanta dificuldade de entender o native speaker , mas realmente ainda não entendo 100 % de um dialogo . Vamos dizer que entendo 80 a 90 % dependendo de quem fala e de onde é .

Thanks a lot for this course! Effectively, for a foreigner it's the hardest thing to understand spoken English, above all when people speak very fast - as women usally do. Your pronounciation is perfectly understandable because you way to speak is very calm. This is not the case in normal conversations or worse in chatter. In my opinion, American pronounciation is by far clearer than common spoken English. The modern trend to spare time in pronounciation is an awful-barbaric way to destroy a beautiful language.

My biggest challenge in English is actually speaking. I can understand a lot more than I can speak. I can't use the same structures of phrases while I am speaking.
@fredyord35444 жыл бұрын
The same problem. How i understand you, man!
@cristiantropea60674 жыл бұрын
This is normal! During the learning process we can distinguish 5 different steps: 1. I don't understand 2. I recognize, I understand but can't use the structure/word actively 3. I memorize, I work on the structure or the word sounds, I repeat it so that my brain understands it is actually important 4. I try to use, so I adjust my production so that I can insert the new structure/word 5. I use, so I can use the sentence freely without any effort. Unfortunately, many courses are focused only on the second and the fourth step, but it turns out to be quite passive. My advice is that you need to actively learn the structures and especially COPY/PASTE the structures you hear and think might be useful for you. The way we speak is a mosaic of many people we've listened to/watched, so feel free to pick up from them!
