Күн бұрын

Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Blues Saraceno Licks From 1994.
I had fun putting this two-part series of lessons together, by taking a look at some licks and ideas from Richie Kotzen in the first lesson and then wrapping it up with some ideas from Blues Saraceno (who replaced him in Poison during the 1990s).
Blues is a phenomenal player and there's a lot you can learn from tackling some of his expressive phrases and fiery licks. I've been a fan of his music since I was in high school and while I did put a Three-For-All lesson surrounding him together last year, it's always a good thing to revisit players and find more you can beg, borrow, and steal from solid musicians like him.
This lesson features a number of slick moves and great ideas from Blues that came from a live performance when he was playing with Poison in 1994. These ideas include some aggressive string-bending phrases with plenty of feel and conviction, not to mention some crafty melodic licks that really expose more of his unique and signature guitar style.
Now that I've hit some ideas coming from Richie and Blues, I did notice that I've received a lot of C.C. DeVille requests since I starting putting this little series together, which came as a surprise - but in a good way. After reading some of the messages and requests, now I feel like hitting some "underdog" players, so you'll be seeing something related to C.C. DeVille soon enough.
Give this lesson a view, leave some comments and feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!

Huge Saraceno fan David. I remember being a kid and being really into shred like Satch, Yngwie, Vai, Lynch, DeMartini. I saw Blues constantly advertised in the guitar magazines. I picked up Never Lock Back which had some great shred songs. But then I bought the Plaid Album which was killer because Blues was so focused on melody and just making catchy riffs and overall song quality.

Great vid. I never heard anything by Saraceno aside from the bumper music he created for that History Channel (?) show "the Men Who Made America", which was very cool. Otherwise, he was some guy on a lot of guitar mag covers with a bunch of plaid stuff -- but he wasn't in any band, really, so I always wondered what the big deal was. One cool thing about your vids is that you give a little detail about each guitarist so that those who aren't in the know about them actually learn something. :-) Peace.

*David I hope you see this msg* David amazing job here ! The dude has too much killer material/solo albums, instrumentals to choose from! . *Also* speaking of shrapnel records cant help but see your new ish article on *Michael lee firkins* you posted last month so Fck ya MLF getting the spotlight finally thank you David!! He's no Ynwie but a unique shredder in such an untouchable way: *laughing stacks* *black Betty cover* *hula hoops* *cactus cruz* *rain in the tunnel* *carless sonata* All prove how criminally underrated he is as not only an instrumental legend but his melodies and themes are more composer esque than any of the other guys in the shrapnel label/era I'd argue! . *does this give us all a hint hint* that 3 dirty MLF licks are coming down the pipe next dave ?! Hoping that means yes haha ive been looking forward to seeing you do him justice since I found your channel a year ago man ! . Thanks again for all your awesome content and cheers from Niagara falls canada! Hope yourself and everyone here stays safe and healthy 😊🙏🤟 - Adam
