The Netflix adaptation is drastically different from the book and the Chinese adaptation. It...fits the "modern audience" trope. Makes sense since the adaptation was done by a Berkeley graduate who has done only one other film. I guess the showrunners really saw some extraordinary talent in her. Or they didn't have a choice.

You obviously also didn't do any research. I was at SXSW, and as the interviewer says, he only saw the first episode, and in that episode, they don't reveal that part yet. Also, good job spoiling it for everyone else. But of course, anywhere Benioff shows up, you have yo show up being a creep like you have been for the last decade now making up lies.
