thx dude, love breakbeat but always kept putting it off until i got the hang of ableton more. but with your tutorial i managed to make my own from the one in ableton chopped up. learned a lot from this vid. id send you some cash but broke single dads with disabled kids dont have much cash to splash im afraid. im using the free ableton live lite i got years ago haha.

Any suggestions on where to get clean break samples? I’ve downloaded a few from Splice, but I’m not to crazy about them.

i pitch my vinyl down to -8 on my turntable when i record and then pitch up, so i get all the ghost notes and transients, can down sample if i want from there, can't ever get more fidelity from original recording...

Seems more appropriate to use sounds from Abelton Live's Drums since this is an Abelton channel. Still very valuable!

Can I create this on Ableton Live 11 intro? Also will the Ableton breakbeat project file template work on Ableton Live 11 Intro? I'm currently using Cubase pro 10, so I'm completely in the dark with this DAW. I've used Cubase on and off for 20 years and I'm wondering if I need to switch over to Ableton. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Iain.

Cubase is the best DAW for chopping breaks. Chop beats drag and drop to groove agent. Export the midi.
