My cat, Minerva, plunked herself on my lap and watched through 3 videos with rapt attention, occasionally patting the screen with her paw until she nodded off(likely dreaming of concocting her own delicious cocktails). Her morning routine usually includes watching videos with mice, birds and squirrels before she has her nap. Today she found out she likes watching Anders make cocktails. 😊

I was skeptical. For me, a champagne can be a lot simpler. I really enjoyed Alspice Dram and Prosecco at Christmas. But my husband decided to have some fun with our bottle tonight and made two of your suggestions. Both are wonderful, but the Bram-Bubble is now in our regular rotation. Fabulous. A Sbagliato Negroni was also a fine use of the Prosecco.

A word about the sugar and why it releases those bubbles. Mr Arnold at Liquid Intelligence explains really well why this happens. And also why the flute is the proper glassware to drink Champagne . Also recently I realise that while I like bramble.... I LOVE blackberry smash. Which is a bramble with smashed Blackberries on the bottom of the glass (like 2-3 per glass) so I will try the Brambubble smash as well :D Happy new year fellas. To many cocktails and happiness

Thank you for thios year Anders and Happy New Year form a Swede in Hong Kong! I had actually just finished dinner preparations and sat down to wind down with your video with a Champagne cocktail in hand, It is one of my goto cocktails if I happen to have Prosecco or Champagne around, or if im dining out. i always have made it the way you do (with cognac), it took me almost 10 years after my first taste of theis cocktailbefore I learned that the original was without cognac. A nice twist is to swap the cognac for a young, fresh calvados to give ot a hint of fruity apple - Im using a cheap Boulard since the cheaper ones often have a bit of freshness to them. I do believe its better to skip the lemon if using calvados.

I found that for the folks who are not in love with a dry cocktail, as you did in the video, a little agitation of the cube after pouring, with a spoon makes a world of difference. Definitely sweetens it up. Just a tip for those who may not enjoy it dry as I do. 👍🏻

Love these recipes. I did a touch of spice - sparkling wine, a quarter oz of Mama Juana and angostura bitters. I made the Mama Juana with dark rum and it's so lovely on its own or with tonic, I thought it would be interesting in a little champagne cocktail.

1) If I'm not mistaken, most Puerto Rican rums (at least the big sellers) are actually Cuban rums that fled the revolution. If that makes you feel better about your rum choices. 2) I think brambubble is great, it lets you know e x a c t l y what you're in for. I knew when I peaked at the chapters what it would be. And it did not disappoint.

Love the Airmail! Stumbled upon it while cruising cocktail websites; made it for friends while bartending my 23rd birthday party, and it was a hit. I think it gets overshadowed by the Old Cuban. To me, it presents well served up or over an ice spear in a Collins glass with a lime twist. I’m interested in swapping the honey for orgeat or passion fruit to “tiki-fi” the drink. No matter what, it’s a stellar rum cocktail!
