I'm glad I found your channel, your approach to makeup is right up my alley! I used to wear 3 products from my teens through to my 30s: concealer, eye liner, and mascara. In my 30s I added a blush so then I had 4 products. Packing for any sort of trip was a snap! In my mid 40s I allowed beauty youtube to influence me and luckily the mindless purchasing only lasted about a year before I came to my senses. I've been bringing things back down again: one product in most categories and eliminated categories I don't care about. The two that are still works-in-progress are blushes (5) and single shadows (7).

I really love your comments! This is such a good representation of what a minimal collection can look like and how being influenced can change that! You are doing amazing for recognizing you like a smaller collection and are whittling it back down. Keep up the good work because it can be very tough (especially if you spent good money on some items!).

Your makeup collection has come such a long way! Since your blush is sort of a bronzer too, I wonder, will you ever consider giving up your bronzer? Of course, its not necessary to eliminate it if you love it - I'm just curious ❤

I have considered it! That being said, it will stay in my collection because I do enjoy something slightly more pink and lighter in winter and deeper and more brown come summer. That's always subject to change though! Who knows where my makeup collection will be in the future!

I always love your videos and your mindful approach. Makeup is one area where I can probably declutter more. I am going to try all my products and see what I truly love and not just keeping around for the memory.

I've been using Bobbi Brown blush in nectar for years. Recently purchased Patrick TA in " She's blushing " . I love it so much thinking about decluttering my other 3 blushes ( Nectar, IT cosmetics ombre "in love" though I may keep it for summer. And hourglass "mood exposure" which I love the formula but it just somehow doesn't look quite right on me. I'm 53, blue eyes, gray hair. I didn't think I would love the Patrick TA one so much, but I find it's the only one I'm reaching for and it can work as bronzing also. I just swipe it all over 😅

This may be the only time in my life that I will beat you in minimalist. :) :) 😁😃😗I only have 2 cheek products! One mini blush to travel and one to use every day! I did buy at one time a mini bronzer but can't figure out how to use it, too complicated for me!!🤣

Hi there! Love your videos! There is hope for some of us to become more minimal with makeup! I do like the Nars Zen blush, you've mentioned it a few times now... but that product is discontinued, right? Any thoughts on what shade or brand you'd replace it with? I have the laguna bronzer, I wish Zen was still available!

It is discontinued unfortunately! I might actually be switching it up fairly soon because of that
