I lived in Columbus for many years. It’s not the most “exciting” city, but it’s a very, very nice place to live. People are friendly and the neighborhoods are interesting. A real sense of community you don’t find most places. A few years ago I went to Cleveland on a work trip and was blown away at how nice that city has become. More of a “big city” feel with he sports teams, etc and wonderful cultural attributes. Worse weather than Columbus in the winter, though! If moved back to Ohio today, I’d probably still pick Columbus. Then you can visit either Cleveland or Cincinnati whenever you want.

Please!!! Akron is a decently large city. Not as big as Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. But Akron is a far better looking, and cleaner city than the fast-shrinking city of Cleveland (which is known as _"The Mistake By The Lake"_ )😂🤣 Come on, Cleveland. Stop embarrassing the State of Ohio.

A few years ago, I stumbled across a 1950 World Almanac at a garage sale, opened it, and was surprised to see Cleveland was the 7th largest city in the U.S. (I believe it's #53 now.)

Yes, but as with many of those top 10 cities a very large portion of the city proper people have just moved out to the burbs, the suburban population, which is really all part of the same metro is actually about 2.3 million people.

Well, detroit was the 4th largest city for many decades (at least, from 1940s till 1980s), fell to the 5th place in 1990 and now, 33 yeats later...it s under top 20....cleveland was the largest city of Ohio for many decades...was passed by columbus few years ago...

As a man that lives in the Atlanta area. But has tons of family all throughout the big cities of Ohio. Cleveland metro and NE Ohio still has that BIG CITY feel over the other big 3 Ohio cities. Cincinnati has a little and Columbus is obviously coming up (which Columbus feels like a growing Southern city to me). But Cleveland feels like an old guard big NE city even though it's technically in the Midwest. I LOVE Cleveland!!!
